Week 10 is in the books. The next two weeks have a ton of division matchups. Both the AFC and NFC conferences have competitive divisions with strong teams. No clear dominance of one conference over the other is evident from the standings. The NFC East and AFC North remain tightly contested, with the AFC North currently holding three playoff spots. Take this all with a grain of salt. With the recent expansion to 17 games and additional playoff spots, anything can happen in the 2023 NFL season.
AFC – Week 10
East
ππ Miami Dolphins (6-3): #4 seed. Not much to say about a team that hasnβt beaten anyone. May not win this division.
Buffalo Bills (5-5): Sad to see 70,000 booing on MNF. Wonβt hold .500 this year
New York Jets (4-5): Division title still in reach. Black Friday matchup is must-see TV.
New England Patriots (2-8): Belichick has seven more post-game pressers to go.
North
ππ Baltimore Ravens (7-3): #2 seed. Hope tough loss didnβt chop down their momentum. Team is exciting to watch.
π Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3): #5 seed. Backfield duo is beginning to look dangerous. Go to Dogpound on Sunday as this team has started to get more well-rounded.
π Cleveland Browns (6-3): #6 seed. Fantastic comeback against possible league-best on road. $230 million QB out for season.
Cincinnati Bengals (5-4): QB is getting sharper. If only they had given the superstar the injury rest he needed in the first few weeks.
South
ππ Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3): #3 seed. Back down to Earth.
π Houston Texans (5-4): #7 seed. Team has been fun to watch, but now excessive media spotlight will knock them down.
Indianapolis Colts (5-5): Goes into bye ready to make run at the top.
Tennessee Titans (3-6): Film is out on the QB. Throw the towel in.
West
ππ Kansas City Chiefs (7-2): #1 seed. Eagles come to town on MNF for Super Bowl rematch.
Las Vegas Raiders (5-5): Donβt let the record fool you. They are not good.
Los Angeles Chargers (4-5): If only they were healthy all season. Back to .500 this week.
Denver Broncos (4-5): This team has not lost in five weeks.
NFC – Week 10
East
ππ Philadelphia Eagles (8-1): #1 seed. Goes into the MNF spectacle at Arrowhead.
π Dallas Cowboys (6-3): #6 seed. Beat up another βBβ team with another on the way.
Washington Commanders (4-6): Love the way they play against good teams, but need to beat the bad ones, too. Thanksgiving should be worthy event at Cowboys.
New York Giants (2-8): Please fire the coaching staff. Blow up the whole team.
North
ππ Detroit Lions (7-2): #2 seed. Solid win against one of the top teams in the league on road.
π Minnesota Vikings (6-4): #7 seed. Donβt look now, but the 0-3 Vikings are in the last wild-card position. Kirk who?
Green Bay Packers (3-6): Absolute worst team in the NFL that is healthy.
Chicago Bears (3-7): No wins on schedule until January.
South
ππ New Orleans Saints (5-5): #4 seed. Awful. Season may come down to New Yearβs Eve matchup vs. Bucs.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5): May have figured out how to win again, but they have to travel to an angry, healthy, 49ers this week.
Atlanta Falcons (4-6): With this backfield they should be better. No consistency.
Carolina Panthers (1-8): This team has no direction for years to come.
NFC West:
ππ San Francisco 49ers (6-3): #3 seed. Healthy. Look out!
π Seattle Seahawks (6-3): #5 seed. Beat a confused Washington team late. The road is tough through December. Canβt figure out which team will show up year-after-year.
Los Angeles Rams (3-6): Would hate to see them toss in the towel, but why not?
Arizona Cardinals (2-8): Kyler playing with something to prove.
