The MLB 2024 Hall of Fame class has been announced with a trio of legends being elected. Here is a little more about the new class.

Adrian Beltre, Joe Mauer, and Todd Helton are officially heading to the Hall of Fame. They needed at least 75% of the vote to make it in. It’s nice to see a good class of players get the coveted honor this year because there were a few years that no one got in.

Beltre is a member of the 400-home run club and one of the best third basemen ever. It was expected that he would get in with a high percentage after an extraordinary career. His powerful bat and magnificent glove made him a star third baseman. He notched 3000 hits and won five Gold Gloves in his career. He was a fun player and had so much talent that many players would like to have.

Helton played his entire career in a Rockies uniform which hurt him the first years on the ballot. He put up an amazing .345/.444/.607 slash with 227 home runs. A five-time All-Star with four silver sluggers and he earned many accolades for his defense. Helton was the face of the Rockies for almost two decades as he was a special player.

Another player to receive the honor was Mauer. He is a three-time batting champion and three silver sluggers. He was an amazing defensive catcher and won many accolades for his work. It seems that Mauer had the most complicated case for the Hall of Fame because his numbers were not as flashy. Nevertheless, he is arguably one of the best catchers of his generation. He is a three-time batting champion and three silver sluggers. Also, he had a career average of .306 average in 3000 plate appearances with The Twins. He was a fun defensive catcher to watch and deserving of the honor.

All three of these players deserve to be in the Hall of Fame after amazing careers. The official ceremony will be held in June in Cooperstown, New York. Stay tuned for more MLB news and stories.
