NC VS DUKE FOR ACC TITLE

Tar Heels Look to Cap Off Dominant Season

Armando Bacot is solid with 14 ppg and leads the conference in rebounds, with 10.2 rpg. Bacot is the only player in the ACC to average a double-double. The offense is well-balanced. In their first meeting against Duke, the Tar Heels lit up the scoreboard, 93-84. Bacot dropped 25 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the way. Davis had a disappointing shooting day, going 5-14, but still finished with 17.

BACOT READY FOR ACC TITLE MATCHUP

CAMERON READY FOR SHARE OF ACC TITLE

Matchup Intangibles

This matchup is for all or half of the ACC title. Not to mention a season sweep between these two rivals is nearly impossible. Throw in the pressure that it may also be the difference of a two-seed or a three-seed come next Sunday, when selections for March Madness are made.

Home-Court Advantage

Duke is 15-2 at home.

Can North Carolina Contain Roach?

Jeremy Roach dropped 20 on them in Chapel Hill.  What will the senior do on his home court?

Will Bacot Dominate Again?

Bacot was nearly perfect, going 10-13 with 10 rebounds in their early February meeting.

Stellar Shooting

Both teams shot 50% or better in their first matchup. Will they repeat?

Prediction

It’s another chapter in a historic rivalry. Duke will strive to prove they can compete with the Tar Heels even without Coach K on the sidelines. Their home-court advantage and revenge factor should not be underestimated. Both teams have had somewhat easy schedules as of late coming into this banger. Heels grab a tough win on the road and the full ACC prize.

Final Score: Duke 86, North Carolina 81
