MLB All-Star Week 2024 was exciting as the best players in baseball took center stage. This included the home run derby and all-star game.

The MLB All-Star game returned to Arlington Texas for the first time in 29 years and it did not disappoint. A new generation of MLB players is taking the game to new heights with more talent than ever. Here are some highlights from the all-star week that were exciting to watch.

This year the home run derby featured a mix of young superstars and veteran sluggers. After a night of soaring home runs through the Texas sky. There was an unlikely champion in Teoscar Hernandez he defeated Royals star Bobby Witt Jr in a thrilling final round that came down to one home run.

Hernadez became the first Dodger to win the derby and the road was nothing short of fun and dramatic as he had to edge out his opponents by one home run each round. The new format and rules seemed to go well as it helped some of the lesser favored players. The home run derby is one of baseball’s most exciting traditions and the best part  all-star week

The American League came out on top again with their 5-3 victory against the National League in the All-Star Game. This victory gave the AL a ten out of eleven games advantage and re-establishing their dominance a year after the NL claimed the 2023 game. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani excite the fans with a three-run home run in the third inning to give the NL the lead. The difference for the AL was the massive two-run home run by Red Sox star Jarren Duran.

A nice mix of established and emerging young players shined on the biggest stage. Baseball seems to be in a good place with young talented players. There were thirty- nine first-time all-stars. It was another fun All-Star week with plenty of entertaining moments, surprises, and young talent. Stay tuned for more MLB news and stories.
