It’s hard to write a team off just one game into the NFL season, but was the season opener a must-win game for the Ravens?

After ending 2023 in a similar fashion, Thursday night’s game was one the Ravens really wanted. And they couldn’t have picked a better team to open their season.

As an AFC team, there’s one thing you should be prepared to do if you want to win the Super Bowl: win a game at Arrowhead. The Ravens had their opportunity to do it Thursday night and get it over with. They fell short by mere inches, but it’s all part of the game we love.

One thing the Ravens probably learned on Thursday is that they have to give Derrick Henry more opportunities. Embrace it and get him closer to 20 carries per game, which should give them their best chance to win.

The Ravens-Chiefs game could be crucial when it comes down to playoff seeding and home-field advantage in the AFC.

The conference has a number of teams looking to take down the Chiefs, and home-field advantage would a long way. We saw what happened to the Dolphins in their playoff matchup with the Chiefs earlier this year.

Luckily for NFL fans, there’s another prime-time AFC matchup next week when the Bengals take on the defending champions.

As for the Ravens, they’ll surely look to bounce back at home against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2.
