The stage for Super Bowl 59 has been set! The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs take care of business on Championship Sunday. Of course, there are also losers in these games as the Commanders have their Cinderella story put to bed and the Bills run into the same wall that has stopped them time and time again. Many fans hoped for something new, but cultured and talented organizations will always prevail. Nonetheless, let’s recap these games.

The Eagles Dominate All Phases Of The Game

The Commanders had a storybook season that ended on Sunday. Led by, arguably the greatest rookie quarterback in NFL history, Jayden Daniels, no one expected them to be here. No one is mad at them for losing either. During the episode, Daniel Coale says “(The Eagles) just feel complete.”

The Eagles were nearly flawless in their 55-23 win in the NFC Championship game. The defense forced four turnovers including a huge forced fumble by Eagles linebacker Oren Burks which effectively stalled Washington’s comeback efforts. Along with the defensive efforts, Saquon Barkley could not have set a strong tone for Philadelphia with his 60-yard touchdown on his first carry.

While Barkley has been taking care of business in stylish fashion during this run, the rest of the offense has been lackluster. Jalen Hurts put that to rest on Sunday as Hurts threw for 248 yards and accounted for four touchdowns. AJ Brown showed his inner excellence with six catches for 96 yards and a score.

“Jalen Hurts once again proves that ‘just because I don’t doesn’t mean I can’t.’ He let everybody know AJ Brown got back on a good page.” Antonio Perez said.

Bills Fall To Mahomes Once Again

Patrick Mahomes is heading to his fifth Super Bowl in just his seventh year as a starter. While having some of the best coaches in the NFL and arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history in Travis Kelce, Mahomes is the clear difference between a playoff team and an all-time great dynasty. Chris Coulter said “it’s what the Chiefs have been doing all year, just find a way to win.”

Regardless of how it looks, very similar to Philadelphia, Kansas City cares about one statistic and that is wins. As for Buffalo, there are several ways to approach why they lost once again. Many are enraged by the officials, but a football is not decided on one or two plays. Even after getting the ball back with a respectable amount of time, the Bills offense could not make the plays necessary.

What We Learned

1. The Eagles Can Get It Done However

Hurts and the offense used the air attack to make an impact and Barkley crushed Washington on the ground. The defense and special teams forced turnovers and the coaching won the chess match. If they choose to beat you in every way, this is the result.

2. The Chiefs Are Possibly Just Good

Instead of making excuses about referees and claiming the league is rigged, fans should give this a thought. What if the Chiefs seem lucky because they are just good? What if their “breaks” seem emphasized because they make teams pay for their undisciplined characteristics? It isn’t fra fetched consider they have one of the greatest players in NFL history at quarterback.

3. Commanders Need To Spend

A valiant effort by the Commanders for even making the playoffs, much less a conference championship. That said, they have many holes on this roster. The defense is without a clear top edge rusher and the secondary is subpar even with the addition of Marshon Lattimore. As for the offense, an upgrade at WR2 would do wonders in elevating Daniels game to another level.

4. The Bills Can’t Rely On Coaching

The Bills have been relying on the masterful work of Sean McDermott to carry a subpar defense in terms of talent. Joe Brady has done his best to make the wide receiver position as positive as he can for Josh Allen. At some point, the players have to be better or there have to be better players brought in at these spots.
