Mining Through Drafts to Cashing in on Super Bowl Number Six
Mister irrelevant, Brock Purdy brings new thoughts when the 49ers are discussed. How far can they go? Who do they face? What are we talking about after January 8th’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals?
Going over the depth chart, you’ll see a team that has six Pro Bowlers and a bunch of above-average players. This is a product that rivals the Los Angeles Rams’ philosophy of “fuck them picks”. The 49ers drafted extremely well and their day two and three picks outperform other teams’ first-round picks. Furthermore, it’s the scheme combined with the development. The 49ers are set for a deep playoff push. Also, did I mention they have Christian McCaffrey?? The one and only player that Kyle Shanahan said “fuck them picks,” while maintaining their bread and butter picks being made on day two and three.
Let’s Talk Quarterback
The 49ers have expected to bring home a Super Bowl every season since their last visit back in the 2019-2020 season. The 49ers this year had a rough start, but started getting hot despite two injuries in their quarterback room. The offense never missed a beat as Brock Purdy stepped up. Brock has shown consistently that he can lead this offense! The 49ers’ have their very first gunslinger and he’s purdy good. George Kittle has seen a huge production spike when Purdy took over. The 49ers’ has been led by Jimmy Garoppolo since 2017 consistently doing their job and nothing more. Jimmy was the least intimidating part of the offense. Evidently, you can see Jimmy doesn’t have the elusiveness that Brock Purdy has. Because of this, the 49ers’ offense is SCARY.
Let’s Talk About Reinforcements
The 49ers haven’t made it through the season without some bumps and bruises. Javon Kinlaw has dealt with injuries and missed October and November when he went down with a knee injury. Kinlaw returned and had a huge play to prevent a touchdown while in the red zone against the Commanders. Kinlaw being available just adds another layer to this defense that makes it that much harder to run the football. You could always pass it but there you’re against the Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) Nick Bosa. The 49ers will also see Elijah Mitchell who would add a fresh pair of legs to the running back room where you have CMC, Jordan Mason, and Tyrion Davis-Price. The 49ers found Elijah in the fifth round of the 2021 draft where Elijah played in 11 games and tallied over 1,000 scrimmage yards.

The Defense That Stole Christmas
The 49ers on defense have resembled the grinch as they take away presents and punch their opponents in the mouth. Nick Bosa whose Twitter handle is nbsmallerbear is truly a grizzly. The predicted DPOY is hitting his stride and has a career-high in sacks at 17.5. Bosa expressed that his goal is to get the 49ers’ single-season sack record at 19.5 held by Aldon Smith. Bosa isn’t the only name to worry about. we could talk for hours about this defense. One player who deserves more recognition is Pro Bowl safety Talanoa Hufanga. Hufanga had iconic moments during this season, tallying 4 interceptions from Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Justin Fields. One from Matthew Stafford as well and taking it over 50 yards for the sole touchdown this season.
Playoff Prediction
The Playoffs are still a few weeks away, but the 49ers are the scariest team in the NFC. Health is on their side as Deebo Samuel is coming back off IR within those weeks along with others mentioned earlier. The 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs are my Super Bowl prediction as that matchup could be different with Purdy at the helm. The 49ers will be favored in every matchup and have minuscule holes on either side of the football while maintaining huge contributions from everyone involved. I’m looking at you O-Line. Keeping Purdy upright and giving him enough time will prove to be fruitful.
49ers Brock Purdy delivers are 45 yard DIME that would have been a touchdown to two players

Have to give tons of credit to the OL for allowing enough time for this play to develop pic.twitter.com/NdBfiGAeqs
