Don’t get too excited or disappointed. Or maybe you should. According to stats from the NFL, 3-0 teams have around a three-in-four chance to make the playoffs. At 2-1, you have a little over half of a chance to earn a spot. 1-2 makes it a third of the time and 0-3 teams have a little better than a one-in-ten chance of getting in. Those chances have risen in recent years with the playoffs recently expanded to include seven teams as well as the 17-game season. Let’s take a look at the NFL playoff picture if for some crazy reason, the season ended in Week 3.

AFC

East

Miami Dolphins (3-0): The #1 seed stormed out of the gates with three wins over winless teams. This week’s matchup against contender and division rival Bills on the road will be their biggest chance to prove their Super Bowl aspirations. ?

Buffalo Bills (2-1): #7 seed needs to show up on Sunday to prove they are still in that contending tier. ?

New England Patriots (1-2): Let’s face it, Belichick still knows how to beat young QBs, but will be difficult for this team to go over .500.

New York Jets (1-2): Needs improvement on offensive play calling.

North

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1): #2 seed needs a new OC desperately. ?

Baltimore Ravens (2-1): #5 seed big matchup @ Browns this week shakes division up. ?

Cleveland Browns (2-1): #6 seed another win this week and they will be moving up heavily in the rankings. ?

Cincinnati Bengals (1-2): Please rest the QB. He is hurt.

South

Indianapolis Colts (2-1): #4 seed doing it with or without future franchise QB. ?

Houston Texans (1-2): Suicide pool killer. Home vs. Steelers this week.

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2): Hurt a lot of pools. Tough tests coming up. Season on alert.

Tennessee Titans (1-2): The team to watch. Tough road next two months, but get a break with injury bugged Bengals team coming to them this week.

West

Kansas City Chiefs (2-1): #3 seed. Should be able to coast through October with a slight bump along the way. ?

Las Vegas Raiders (1-2): Steeler loss at home SNF was not a great look.

Los Angeles Chargers (1-2): Coach Staley terrible call on fourth down. Defense saved his job.

Denver Broncos (0-3): This team has no hope.

NFC

East

Philadelphia Eagles (3-0): #2 seed. Schedule is tough. ?

Dallas Cowboys (2-1): #7 seed. Suicide pool disaster. Same old Cowboys? ?

Washington Commanders (2-1): Brutal schedule throughout the remainder. Could sneak in the last wild card spot.

New York Giants (1-2): One dimension team once again without their RB.

North

Green Bay Packers (2-1): #4 seed. Impressive. Somehow. ?

Detroit Lions (2-1): #6 seed. Team to watch. ?

Minnesota Vikings (0-3): Pack it in after the last game was handed to you.

Chicago Bears (0-3): Does anyone know a good QB?

South

Atlanta Falcons (2-1): #3 seed. Need good use of the next two weeks to stay afloat. ?

New Orleans Saints (2-1): Coming off a rough loss. Get Bucs @ home this week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1): Road isn’t easy for them. Real or fake?

Carolina Panthers (0-3): Battle of the basement this week vs. Vikings.

NFC West:

San Francisco 49ers (3-0): #1 seed. Super Bowl favorites. ?

Seattle Seahawks (2-1): #5 seed. Impossible to figure this team out year after year. MNF @ Giants looks like a great spot for them right now. ?

Los Angeles Rams (1-2): Disappointing loss @ Bengals. Tough next two.

Arizona Cardinals (1-2): Suicide pool killer visits 49ers this week. Back to Earth?
