The Masked Singer Season 12 Group B Sports Night

This week Group B Sports Night on the Masked Singer was held. Five new contestants made their debut and one is revealed.

The show celebrated sports with its special Sports Night. Group B was introduced during the episode including Chess Piece, Dust Bunny, Bluebell, Wasp, and Goo. The songs featured were  “We Believe”, Sweet Caroline”, “Loose Control” and more. Here is a recap of the special episode.

Chess Piece

Song and Performance: Chess Piece gave a beautiful rendition of the classic ” Believe”. She has a nice voice and she seems comfortable on stage. The panelists enjoyed the passionate and emotional performance but don’t think she is a professional singer.

Panel Guesses: Serena Williams, Regina King and Ashley Graham.

Clue Package: Chess Piece is a regal character who mentions that she is a businesswoman. The clues mention acting and fashion. Her visual clues included a money safe, a paparazzi, a red carpet, and tennis shoes.

Dust Bunny

Song and Performance: Dust Bunny had a fun rendition of the ballpark classic ” Sweet Caroline” He may not be the strongest singer but he knew how to work the stage. The panelists enjoyed his funny personality and fun dance moves.

Panel Guesses: John C Riley, Will Farelle and Jay Leno

Clue Package:  The clue package contained references to cooking and dancing. The Dust Bunny seems to have many talents. The visual clues included a toy car, a container of popcorn, an ice dancing costume, and an air freshener.

Bluebell

Song and Performance: Blue Bell gave a fantastic rendition of a popular song. She has a sweet tone to her voice and a good stage presence. The panelists think she may be a performer of some kind like an actress that can sing.

Panel Guesses: Taylor Momson, Leighton Mester and Ellie Goulding

Clue Package: Blue Bell scored overnight success and is a triple-threat performer. She has some public relationships and was in the tabloids. The visual clues included blue jeans, rollerblades, gardens, and newspapers.

More Group B Performances

Wasp

Song and Performance: Wasp gave a fantastic rendition of “ Rock Your Body” by Justin Timberlake. He has a fantastic voice and a way of commanding the stage. The panelists were impressed by his performance and thought he could go far.

Panel Guesses: Mario, Taye Diggs, and Bruno Mars

Clue Package: In the clue package Wasp worked with popular singer Neyo early in his career as a performer. He is a triple threat who can sing, dance, and act. The visual clues included basketball shoes, a Broadway sign, tabloids, and boxer gloves.

Goo

Song and Performance: Goo gave a star-quality rendition of the hit song“Loose Control”. His voice is impressive with powerful and deep tones. This could be another contender to look out for this season.

Panel Guesses: Jamie Fox, Shabozzi, and Jon Batiste

Clue Package: The clues mention Goo was a music nerd who plays multiple instruments. He sang in a popular acapella group and had overnight success. His visual clues featured a train set, instruments, a tackle box, and gold cleats.

Reveal

There was another big reveal this week, one singer was eliminated from the competition. The Dust Bunny turned out to be comedian Andy Reichter. Therefore the other four will sing again next week.

Wasp and Goo’s performances show that Group B has as much talent as Group A.  Tune in next week as Group B returns for another episode. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 7/8 c on Fox.
