While many rookies are making an impact for their teams, the WNBA Rookie of the year is a two women race. Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx lead the way for Rookie of the Year this season. Both players are playing well for their teams.

Ogunbowale was drafted with the fifth pick of the draft back in April. She played her college ball at Notre Dame. So far this season, Ogunbowale is averaging 16.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. The former Notre Dame star is only shooting 37% percent from the field and 32.5% from three-point land. Her poor shooting percentage could be because she always has the green light to shoot because the Dallas Wings do not have enough firepower. When Skyler Diggins comes back, it will help take some of the pressure off of Ogunbowale.
