There is a possibility that Jon Moxley could be leaving All Elite Wrestling next year. The 33 year old quit WWE in April, after turning down a new contract.

What’s Next For Jon Moxley?

He appeared at AEW’s Double or Nothing attacking Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. Moxley had signed a deal until 2022. There is an opt-out clause that can be activated after just one year.

The WWE “tentative creative” plan was for an appearance at next year’s Royal Rumble; after Mox took off for six months. As we can clearly see that may not be the case at this time. The former WWE Superstar bashed WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and the company’s creative team on Chris Jericho’s podcast in May.

Moxley made his debut in the ring at Fyter Fest last week by defeating Joey Jahela. He is also currently signed with New Japan as well, and is the current IWGP United States Champion, in his first reign. There was rumors before Jon Moxley (known as Dean Ambrose) left WWE, that he would take off for six months, and join the indies and come back to the WWE.

Is this what the opt- out clause means? Are we seeing Moxley return to the WWE, or is he just fed up forever. As a wrestling fan, we all know anything can happen. Rather, it’s a return or even a new character debut. We all know anything is possible in the hands of the creative team of the wrestling promotions.

What exactly is the case for the future of Jon Moxley? Do you think he will return to WWE? What do you think is the future for the former WWE Superstar? Why would he have an opt out clause?

I believe it’s to mess with our minds. To keep making us guess what could possibly happen next.
