The talk of the Raw women’s division for the past two weeks has centered around Sasha Banks. The Boss’s heel return ignited fans on Monday nights. Banks also found herself stirring up tensions with the Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. WWE fans are now on the edge of their seats wondering if we will see the inevitable showdown.

Their History

Their trailblazing days go all the way back to their time in NXT as part of the WWE’s Four Horsewomen alongside Charlotte Flair and Bayley. Whether it’s been side-by-side or against one another, Banks and Lynch always display amazing chemistry in the ring. Since 2016, the two superstars have been on their respective brands while only facing each other in specialty matches (Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal). These women know each other so well that any upcoming matchup will seem like a walk in the park.

Where are you, Sasha?

Banks was on the mind of the champ well before her return. While doing press for SummerSlam, Becky criticized Sasha for her absence from the WWE after dropping the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35. Lynch also challenged Banks to come look for her if she wanted to.

On the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania, The Boss got The Man’s attention during her vicious assault on Natalya. While Banks walked away that night leaving both Natalya and Becky on the ground, it was clear that this was just the beginning. Banks stated this past Monday that her anger was centered around Lynch main-eventing WrestleMania and that Sasha was back where she belonged as the talk of the women’s division.

When will it happen?

With Clash of Champions on the horizon, we all know the inevitable showdown will happen. It’s just a matter of when WWE management will make the match official. Buckle up folks because this should be one for the ages!
