The latest episode of Monday Night RAW is in the books, so let’s not waste any time. I’ll get into wasted time later, but we can all agree RAW needs to go back to two hours, to have any chance regaining the title of top WWE television show.

The first segment of RAW with Paul Heyman leading the charge on the mic was must see television. Heyman is magic on the mike and his promo calling out Rey Mysterio was fire. Lesnar parading around the ring like a lion searching for a gazelle was just as entertaining. The two of them made this feud something to be interested in, because prior to tonight there was minimal interest.

To follow up a great promo you needed great talent and WWE gave us that in the Kabuki Warriors vs Charlotte and Natty. This match was fast paced, great action and told a great story. Can two great individual wrestlers defeat a great tag team? The only question I have is where are they taking Charlotte? Making her a part of a tag team doesn’t seam realistic in the long term. I’m afraid this is just a place holder for Charlotte, but with Natty I think these two would make a great team. Ric Flair never was a tag team wrestler so why would they make the prodigal daughter one also.

I talked earlier about how the Heyman promo got me invested in Brock vs Rey. How about the post match attack from Rey on Brock. The ladies tag team match was very good the aftermath was better. Rey’s vicious attack bringing Brock to his knees was as exciting a segment should be. If you listen to the radio show Busted Open, you know Bully Ray praises Brock for being a true professional and he is spot on. Love him or hate him Brock Lesnar elevates all wrestlers.

The excitement kept rolling with two promos both involving talent from NXT. Survivor Series is on the way and Triple H led his NXT army to the arena before a interview segment with Seth Rollins. HHH gave Rollins the your either with me or against me speech which led to The Undisputed ERA fighting with the OC who came down to “even the sides.” More superstars cane down to brawl but Seth was left untouched. This led to the main event, but those of you hoping for a NXT jump from Seth were disappointed for now. The main event was fine but very ordinary.

Let’s get to the second interview segment and this was cool. Becky Lynch face to face with Shayna Bazler was an instant sell. I’m hooked on this match for survivor series the only problem with this intense one on one is Bayley is also in this match. Maybe we get her side Friday but last nights segment was so good I’m afraid people will care less about Bayley’s involvement.

Ok so I took my time talking about all the excitement of RAW because it was exciting, if it was two hours long. Unfortunately it is a three hour show and everything I didn’t mention didn’t really do anything for me. I am not a fan of the Rusev/Lashley/Lana story and that was forced to us. It’s unfortunate because in this lame storyline they stuffed very good talents such as Drew McIntyre and Ricochet plus the “Legend Killer” Randy Orton in this dreadfulness. WWE please don’t stick these three men into this misery. Other good talent stuffed in boring segments were Andrade and The OC. Their matches are not worth mentioning because they were a complete waste of time.

If we voted on our favorite wrestling show right now Raw would be close to if not at the bottom. It’s sad but true, but would that be true if RAW was a two hour show like every other show? RAW has the talent to provide a great two hour show so what’s the hold up? WWE please help RAW regain its greatness by cutting the filler segments and just give us the smoke.
