With March up around the bend that means we are getting closer to MLB Opening Day, 2023

The MLB season will begin on March 30th. It’s almost time for Green Onions & Sausages.

First off, every team is playing on opening day for the first time since 1968, so there will be plenty of action.

Additionally, for the first season ever, all teams will play each other during the season. This is a surprising fact when you think about how many games are played each season, almost 2,500.

I’m excited to get invested and involved in this year’s season. I am excited to start making picks. Find my opening day picks here and my picks throughout the MLB season on Tallysight.

One way I have tried to keep myself in the loop nowadays is by following the Pesky Report on Twitter. They do a good job with highlights and updates on the Red Sox daily. As a Boston fan, the Red Sox have taken a back seat to the other teams over the years.

Baseball can be a hard sport to follow, at least for me. It’s hard to dedicate yourself to an entire game on a daily basis. The games are long and go late into the night. It’s a challenge, actually.

However, the pace is a good thing. Sometimes the pace of a hot summer day baseball game is what we need.

The Yankees are heavy favorites entering the season. I expect the rivalry to remain competitive. One big reason the Yanks are so favored is thanks to Aaron Judge. I wouldn’t be happy to watch the Yankees win a World Series but I wouldn’t be mad either. Judge is an all-time player and probable Hall of Famer. He just broke Babe Ruth’s record. The Colossus of Clout! The Colossus of Clout!

The Red Sox will host the Yankees on June 16th,17th and 18th. I would love to get to one of these games and sit up on the Monster like the good old days. I had the privilege of sitting up there many times with my good friend Pat.

Admittedly, I haven’t been to many games lately, although I did see the Motley Crue and Poison concert at Fenway and that just may have changed my life.

As for Opening Day, The Red Sox will host the Baltimore Orioles. I am excited for Garrett Whitlock & Chris Sale to get back on the mound.
