It was a good fight. But, in the end, the Los Angeles Lakers could not survive another day. Jamal Murray hit the game-winning shot with four seconds left, and the Nuggets advanced with a 108-106 win.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ chances of making it to the next round are close to none. After falling in game three to the Denver Nuggets 112-105, they are now down in the series 3-0. No team has come back from that deficit to move on to the next round. For LeBron James and Co., this may be the end of another failed championship run.
This wasn’t supposed to happen. The Los Angeles Lakers came out firing in game two versus the Denver Nuggets. D’Angelo Russell was lighting it up from the three-point line. Anthony Davis was a complete headache for the Nuggets defense, finishing with 32 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron James had 26, including 12 points in the fourth quarter alone.
