It’s time to look forward to the new year and what the 2020 MLB season could bring. Here are some things and teams to look for in the new season.
The White Sox new look is something to watch because they seem to be serious about building a winning team. The additions of Dallas Keuchel and Yasmani Grandal could help the White Sox take the next step in the new year.
The NL West race will be fun to watch as it seems all the teams have potential to be contenders. The Dodgers are still considered a top team in the NL West and the Diamondbacks seem to be building a good team with Madison Bumgarner now on board. Don’t sleep on the Rockies either as they have an all-star line up that could cause opponents some trouble.
Some MLB stars found new homes including Gerrit Cole, Anthony Rendon, and Zack Wheeler. Each player could have the potential to impact their new teams in a big way including the possible playoff races. There is a chance that some of these deals may not work as they are expected.
Other teams to look out for are the Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, and the Blue Jays. Even though the Braves are coming off a disappointing finish to the playoffs, they still have a good team. The Rays were a 95 -win team in 2019 with many of their players coming back. The Blue Jays may still be rebuilding but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette will make them fun to watch.
Spring training will be here soon bringing the hopes and dreams of every team. There should be some fun storylines, teams and players to watch in the 2020 season and playoffs.
