MLB prospects are storylines to watch in spring training and the regular season. Here is some MLB prospect watch list that could make their debuts in 2020 or continue what they started in the 2019 season. The excitement of seeing a prospect finally make their long-awaited debut.
Sam Hilliard is an outfielder from the Rockies who should be kept on the radar in 2020. In September he hit .273 with 7 home runs in 27 MLB games. Luis Robert from the White Sox is another outfielder who in the Triple-A hit .297 with 16 home runs and 7 stolen bases. He is more than likely will make his debut sometime during the season, if everything goes as planned.
There are some pitchers who could make their debut this year, there seem to have taken over the list. MacKenzie Gore LHP for the Padres is a well thought of prospect who will start in Double A. Matt Manning is a tall athletic pitcher, looking to make his debut for the Tigers. He uses a signature curveball and an above-average fastball. Dustin May is a pitcher who made his debut in 2019 he had a .114 ERA in 34 appearances.
Look out for Gavin Lux an infielder who appeared in 23 games for the Dodgers in the stretch run last year with a .347 average and 26 home runs. Brendan Rodgers of the Rockies made his debut in 2019 but ended up splitting time between the majors and triple A. The Rockies hope he can make an impact this season as a second baseman.
There are plenty more prospects that could impact in this new season and their teams. It will be fun to watch these players in spring training games as we see what they can do. Based on this it looks like MLB has some future young players that could be good for the game.
