MLB released their 2023 All-Star Ballot this week so fans can vote for the initial starters. Therefore, the fan vote is officially opened.

The All-Star festivities will be hosted by the Seattle Mariners including the Home Run Debry, All-Star Game, and draft. There is a little over a month until that week and now the polls opened to vote for your favorite players. Though there are talented players some think they should be the biggest names in the game even if they are not performing well. Here is what you need to know about the All-Star ballot.

All-Star Game Ballot

Phase one of the Game voting began on May 31st and will run through Thursday, June 22. This is when fans can vote on which players they would like to see start at each position in the National and American League. Though the outfield will have three players to vote on. They can vote up to five times a day. The top overall vote-getters in each league will be named a starter.

Once starters are chosen the remainder of the twenty -three reserves including pitchers will be decided by a player vote. This will be interesting to see who the players will vote in because there are many players excelling this season. The final rosters will be announced on July 2nd with plenty of surprises and snubs,

There are some players that are already standing out on the ballot. The American League has some tough competition because of the talented players The Tampa Bay Rays have at least six offensive players that could be voted in. For instance, Yandy Diaz and Randy Arozarena lead the way on the ballot.

Aaron Judge and Mike Trout are some of the big names on the ballot. Trout has been an All-Star selection in the past ten seasons and looks to be a starter this year. He would be the first player to do so ten consecutive times since 2001.

The National League has an impressive ballot with some new faces. Marlins’ Luiz Arraez has been impressive in the first two months of the season. He has been an offensive force for Miami hitting over. 400.  The Braves’ Ronald Acuna Jr. and Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll are some of the young talented players on the ballot that should get a lot of votes. Braves catcher Sean Murphy is hitting like an All-Star and Dodgers Freddie Freeman is a top candidate.
