Kansas City Royals look to be the real deal heading into the postseason. They are one of the season’s biggest surprises as they breathe down the Guardian’s neck.
The Royals are fighting with the Cleveland Guardians for first place atop the Al Central. The team has been the AL”s hottest over the past two months and is positioned to end its nine-year playoff drought. They also have a legitimate chance at capturing the division title.
Royals Real Deal

They have a good lineup up and the pitching staff has been strong this season. Salvador Perez continues to hit while corner outfielders MJ Melendez and Hunter Renfroe have grown into everyday players.
Also, Paul DeJong has been on tar offensively since he was acquired from the White Sox at the deadline. Then the Royals add in Bobby Witt Jr who is a star in the making who can both hit and play defense. This dangerous lineup seems to show up night after night with a big hit or play in the field.
Pitching and More

They have given the Royals consistent quality stars, veteran presence, and the ability to keep them in games. The rotation is second in ERA among other categories that they are top five in.
Kanas City has a decent bullpen that helps close out games of course there is room for improvement. If they can continue to pitch well then they have a good chance in the postseason because they will be facing some tough lineups.
Though the Royals may have weaknesses they are still a competitive and fun team to watch with a chance to make history. This is a team to watch the rest of the season as they look to be the real deal. Stay tuned for more MLB news and stories.
