SmackDown Live comes to us tonight from inside the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas!
SmackDown Live is Next
For the first time ever, former Universal champion, Goldberg will appear on SmackDown Live tonight. Only 24 hours have been removed since Undertaker sent his eerie message to him on Raw and Goldberg looks to give his own message tonight. This Friday, the two will square off in the main event of Super Showdown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Undertaker is synonymous with SmackDown Live. It wouldn’t be far fetched to say he might be there as well.
It will be interesting to see what WWE has them do tonight. The pair haven’t had any build to this match other than advertisements and what the two do this week on tv. The match won’t be longer than five minutes and is likely the only match the two will ever have together.
Regardless of the situation, this is one of those dream matches fans have wanted for years. It feels like it should be a bigger deal, though.
Lars Sullivan Exclusive Interview
For the first time since getting called up to the main roster, Lars is going to have an exclusive interview aired tonight.
Sullivan has been under fire recently due to old tweets popping up, leading to a fine among other demands WWE has issued him from this.
Since he debut after WrestleMania however, he has been booked like a monster. He came in and attacked the Hardy’s and ever since, he’s been dismantling Lucha House Party every week.
This Friday, he takes on all three members of Lucha House Party in a 3 on 1 handicap match. Sullivan is the easy favorite as the Lucha’s haven’t stood a chance in the past few weeks.
WWE hasen’t given Lars a lot of mic time since his debut. He was booked as a somewhat intellectual big man in NXT, expanding his vocabulary in almost every promo. It worked in NXT and led to him eventually headlining a TakeOver show with Aliester Black.
It remains to be seen what he’ll say but this is where WWE needs to develop his character a bit more. Right now, he’s just a big man. He needs to be different if he wants to excel on the main roster and get that main event push that many believe he’ll soon receive.
‘A Moment of Bliss’ With Bayley
SmackDown Women’s champion, Bayley will be the guest on Alexa Bliss’ ‘A Moment of Bliss’ tonight.
Bayley has voiced her frustrations with the women’s division on SmackDown Live on social media. She wants to make the woman’s division the best division in the company.
Ember Moon, Liv Morgan, Mickie James, and Carmella are basically an afterthought at this point. Moon hasn’t been used since MITB, Morgan hasn’t been used since ‘Mania, and I cannot recall the last time James was on TV. At least Carmella is busy helping R Truth create gold with the 24/7 title. Not to mention Asuka, Kairi Sane, Sonya Deville, etc.
The SmackDown Live woman’s division is a mess right now. Bayley and Charlotte are basically the only women being pushed on the blue brand unless Lacey Evans and Becky Lynch come over.
Something needs to change soon. Smackdown Live has good talent in the women’s division but no one is getting a chance.
