Here are three reasons to attend the 2020 Women’s Final Four:
- The city of New Orleans will host the 2020 women’s Final Four.
- Typically game tickets are affordable.
- It is a laid back event with tons of free mini-events to fill your weekend.
If you’ve never been to New Orleans or the women’s final four, 2020 could be the year to check both off of your list. Affectionately known as “The Big Easy,” New Orleans is a hub for American culture. Outside of the games, the city has so much to offer potential game goers. Head over to the French Quarter to stroll down the infamous Bourbon Street. Spend the day people-watching, eating great local food, or trying hurricanes at different bars.
The NCAA site currently shows tickets for purchase in the 300 level for as low as $75. Lower level ticket prices and package options have not fully been released just yet, that should happen in October. The weekend offers three games, typically the two Final Four games on Friday with the championship game on Sunday. Fans can buy tickets for all three games or just tickets for Friday or Sunday.
The weekend as a whole is very fun and laid back. The NCAA treats the fans well with offerings like Tourney Town and Party on the Plaza. All weekend (April 3-5) fans are given free swag, several opportunities to meet the teams and there’s even a concert on Saturday. Tourney Town is presented by Capital One and is free and open to the public. Here you can purchase merchandise, listen to talks, meet legends and even take a picture with the championship trophy.
Super Saturdays usual feature a night concert and the chance get pictures and autographs with the two teams headed to the championship game. Hours before tip-off, the outside of the stadium turns into a huge block party. Party on the Plaza offers music, food and interactive games.
Even if you can’t make it to New Orleans, you can still get in on the tournament action. Check the table for locations of preliminary round sites.
