Fantasy Live: Week 1

So, now that the NASCAR season is finally back, that means the joys of fantasy racing are back as well. I decided this year I would start a fantasy live league for all of my Belly Up racing companions. After opening it up in our company chat I was not disappointed in the responses, which I’ll share with all of you fine readers later on in this post. As well as doing my weekly generic fantasy article on our new fantasy site.

I am also going to be covering the Belly Up Racing team choices from week one on down the line and will be sharing a little bit of our weekly trash talking as well for your enjoyment. Now that you understand what your getting into here is a list of the picks from each team member who wanted to share.

We don’t want it to go without mentioning though we have two guys who didn’t share their fantasy live picks this week. In Blaine and Darrell some strategy being played on their parts maybe? We shall find out tomorrow. One said he “didn’t know anything about racing” and the other has been unusually quiet in the company chat group. None the less they are a part of this league and team. I can’t just leave them out on this week’s overview.

Trash Talk Time

It should go without saying every single one of us is way too competitive for our own good. That is what makes it fun though right? I mean do you want to play fantasy sports with a bunch of whining babies, or quiet men? No, you want competition week in and week out and the ability to talk a little smack and have some fun. Maybe even get a little degenerate like our resident snake likes to do apparently?

The first shot was fired in the chat by our host of the Hot Lap podcast: Brandon. After obviously getting a vague run down by Rattlesnake of how the game works.

You also have a less direct approach by the so-called “Belly Up NASCAR King” according to his team name. Who decided to post a forum topic calling us out, for myself to only find three short days later

Well then you see another man got brave and decided to step into the snake’s den. Trey our resident “high-class white trash from southern Ohio” according to his twitter page sent a little message in his league buy-in on Venmo.

Which as we see above the snake bites, but can he compete with the MACHO MAN!? I guess we will find out.

Week 1 Conclusion?

Ahh, heck who knows how to conclude this right now? Look this is all in good fun in the end. While there may or may not be a very humiliating consequence for the low man in the fantasy live league at the end of the season is to be announced. I can tell you one thing though, these guys don’t have a chance. Or at least in my mind, they don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of beating me in this league. I mean I being kind of facetious though because it was my idea and this is my article. Still, either way, stay tuned for week 2 next week to see what kind of degenerate stuff we can come up with as a team.

Just sneak in my own little bit of trash talk in to end this first week. My only real competition is probably Rattlesnake and Trey. Possibly Darrell and Brandon, but one of them doesn’t exactly know what he’s doing so? This league is mine for the taking, as long as the screw ups don’t occur. Yes, boys you read that correctly I said this league is mine, your all just playing in it for the fun of the game.
