There are few athletes in the world that just transcend time and generations. Mike Tyson is one of those athletes, everyone knows who is he is, young or old. Recently Tyson has posted a bunch of videos of himself training. The last of which was clips of him training ending with Tyson simply saying, “I’m Back!” Could it be so? Could the king of the ring really be coming back at the ripe ol age of 53?

Mike Tyson became one of the most feared boxers in all the world at the young age of 18. At the young age of 20, he became the youngest heavyweight champion of the world. But it was not just that he was good at boxing, it was the way he did it, with bad intentions. He put fear into his opponents long before he ever got in the ring. As his career came winding down his legendary antics and crazy remarks ( ‘I want to eat his children”) made him an attraction in and out of the ring.

After a few decades, Tyson has decided it may be time to hit the ring once again. Let’s not get to excited as it seems he may only be getting in the ring for an exhibition type gig. One where he could get in hit someone and the world will then go crazy with the, “He could beat anyone in the ring today” thing.

I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring, I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape,” Tyson said during the chat. “I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.”

Don’t get me wrong I think he would cause a lot of problems for most of the boxers in the game. But at the top? Well, let that debate start now. Can Mike Tyson win the heavyweight title again?

Possible Fight

There are a few possible opponents for his first fight back and with that come odds of course.

  • Yes -120
  • No -120

Fight odds:

  • Mike Tyson -120 vs. Evander Holyfield -120
  • Mike Tyson +200 vs. Sonny Bill Williams -300
  • Mike Tyson +150 vs. Paul Gallen -200
  • Mike Tyson +110 vs. Barry Hall -150
  • Mike Tyson -150 vs. Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs +110
  • Mike Tyson +200 vs. Hector Lombard -300
  • Mike Tyson -200 vs. Bobby Gunn +150

I got five it is Holyfield but would any of these fights get you to pay what is sure to be a premium price? Honestly to me any of these I will pay for just to see Iron Mike hit someone again, anyone. But I would not pay to see him fight a second on this list. If he is going to fight for real then start him in some intro fights with real good pros in the ring and let us see if the Foreman comes out in him. I mean the last I remember just about anyone was beating his…

As a long time fan of the champ I would welcome his return. Iron Mike Tyson! Are you ready to Rum….I don’t have that type money, but you get it, right? Welcome back Mike.
