EKO Acropolis Rally Greece has come to end. It was a Hyundai podium sweep, with Neuville taking the win.

SS14

Stage 14 would see Ott Tänak take the stage win and cut into Neuville’s lead. Tänak would cut 2.9 seconds into Neuville’s lead, cutting it down to 25 seconds. Breen would take third on the stage and move up to fifth as a result of Evans retiring. Greensmith would place fourth to move up to 32nd overall. Loubet would place fifth and move into fourth overall.

SS15

Stage 15 would see Thierry Neuville take the stage win and extend his lead. Neuville would extend his lead by another 4.3 seconds over Tänak. Neuville would now lead by 29.3 seconds. Andreas Mikkelsen would place third on the stage. Beating Craig Breen by 3.8 seconds in his WRC2 car.

SS16

Stage 16 would be the Wolf Power stage. Ott Tänak would take the stage win and collect an extra five points. Rovanperä would place second on the stage taking home four. These would be the only points Rovanperä would gain after finishing the rally 15th overall. Craig Breen would place third, taking home three points. Gus Greensmith would take home fourth and two points on the stage. Lappi would take fifth and one point from the stage. Much like Rovanperä, these would be the only points Lappi would get as he finished the rally 22nd overall.

Evans Out

Elfyn Evans would retire from the rally before the start of SS14. He retired due to Turbo problems. Evans entered the day fourth overall, 7.1 seconds behind Sordo. Unfortunately for Evans, this retirement would result in him gaining zero points and moving back to fourth in the championship standings.

Neuville’s First

Thierry Neuville entered EKO Acropolis Rally Greece with no event wins so far this season. He will leave Greece with one win under his belt. Neuville was on track to win in Ypres last month, but a crash and subsequent retirement would stop any chance. Neuville gained the lead after Sebastian Loeb retired at the end of SS8 and never looked back.
