Day two of Nitro Rallycross Quebec has passed. Oliver Eriksson would take home his first win of the season.
Group E Heats
Heat One
Heat one would see Kevin Eriksson, Robin Larsson, Andreas Bakkerud, Kris Meeke and Conner Martell face off. Andreas Bakkerud would start in pole position on the inside line. Which was his choice after placing second in the battle bracket on day one. Bakkerud’s DRR teammate Robin Larsson would start on the outside in P2. Kevin Eriksson would take an early lead after going around the top in corner one. Eriksson would maintain the lead the entire heat to win the heat by .813 seconds over Robin Larsson to advance to the finals.
Heat Two
Heat two would see Travis Pastrana, Oliver Eriksson, Oliver Bennett and Fraser McConnell face off. McConnell would start in the pole position after winning the battle bracket on day one. Oliver Eriksson would battle most of the heat with Travis Pastrana. Until Pastrana’s tire would, unfortunately, debead on lap three. Thus handing Oliver Eriksson the heat win. As Eriksson would beat McConnell by 1.755 seconds to punch his ticket to the final.
Group E Semifinals
Semifinal One
Semifinal one would see Travis Pastrana, Robin Larsson and Kris Meeke face off. Travis Pastrana would win the semifinal by 1.981 seconds over Robin Larsson to advance to the finals. Robin Larsson placing second in the semifinal would also advance him to the finals. Thus forcing Kris Meeke to the Last Chance Qualifier.
Semifinal Two
Semifinal two would see Andreas Bakkerud, Fraser McConnell, Conner Martell and Oliver Bennett face off. Andreas Bakkerud would take the semifinal win, beating McConnell by .803 seconds to advance to the final. McConnell would also advance to the final as a result of him placing second in the semifinal. Martell and Bennett would go into the LCQ.
Group E Last Chance Qualifier
The Last Chance Qualifier would see Conner Martell, Oliver Bennett and Kris Meeke battle. Conner Martell would take the LCQ win, beating Oliver Bennett by 2.467 seconds to advance to the finals. Bennett would also advance to the finals as he placed second in the LCQ. Kris Meeke would be disqualified from the LCQ due to contact.
Group E Final
The Nitro Rallycross Quebec Group E final would see Oliver Eriksson, Kevin Eriksson, Robin Larsson, Fraser McConnell, Oliver Bennett, Conner Martell, Andreas Bakkerud and Travis Pastrana face off. Oliver Eriksson would walk away victorious, beating Kevin Eriksson by a dominant 3.298 seconds. Robin Larsson would come in third, 3.158 seconds behind Kevin Eriksson. Fraser McConnell would place fourth, 14.548 seconds behind Larsson. Oliver Bennett would round out the top five, finishing 15.290 seconds behind McConnell.
