Will the cream rise to the top? We are still seeing what we thought were bad teams have some signs of success early in the season. How long will they succeed? We will worry about that another day. For now, we look at the last week and where teams stand heading into a new week in the MLB power rankings for week six.

1. Boston Red Sox +10

Several teams had horrible weeks, but Boston had a perfect week. This team was projected to be last in the AL East and currently sits third. They will find themselves in the playoffs if they can hold their own against division opponents.

2. Tampa Bay Rays +1

Tampa has been at or near the top every week so far, and they continue to win games on a regular basis. They are the only team under ten losses left in the MLB.

3. Baltimore Orioles -1

The Orioles scored 37 runs this week, facing the Royals and the Braves. The young squad continues to impress and hold their own in the tough AL East.

4. Atlanta Braves +4

The top team in the NL, Atlanta is fighting through adversity.

5. Los Angeles Dodgers +2

The Dodgers absolutely crushed the Phillies this week and have had their best week so far this season.

6. Los Angeles Angels +11

The other LA team had a great week, and are making a run at the top of the AL West. Few teams have more star power than the Angels, and maybe their stars are shining bright finally.

7. San Diego Padres +6

The NL West is heating up as LA and San Diego find their footing. The Padres split with the Reds and looked steady against the Dodgers to end the week.

8. Arizona Diamondbacks +6

Another young team with early season success, the Diamondbacks are fighting off LA and SD in the NL West.

9. Detroit Tigers +15

The big risers this week, Detroit won five straight! Can they maintain? Probably not, but let us give them credit for a great week.

Riley Greene has the Tigers in the top ten this week.

10. New York Yankees +8

A bounce-back week for the Yankees. They have had injury issues as well but stayed afloat this week in the toughest division in baseball.

11. Toronto Blue Jays -5

12. Minnesota Twins -3

13. Chicago Cubs +10

14. San Francisco Giants +6

15. Houston Astros +/-0

16. Texas Rangers -4

17. New York Mets -1

18. Seattle Mariners +1

19. Colorado Rockies +7

20. Cleveland Guardians +5

21. Cincinnati Reds -1

22. Milwaukee Brewers -12

23. Washington Nationals -1

24. Chicago White Sox +5

25. Miami Marlins -21

26. Pittsburgh Pirates -25

27. Philidelphia Phillies -22

Bryce Harper may be back, but the Phillies may need more than him to turn things around, They sit near the bottom of the MLB Power Rankings for week six.

29. Oakland Athletics +1

30. St. Louis Cardinals -3
