Get ready as the New York Jets go head-to-head with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. The Jets enter the game with a 6-9 record, fresh off a thrilling 30-28 victory against the Washington Commanders.
On the opposite side, we have the Browns, who boast a 10-5 record and are riding a three-game win streak. Guided by experienced quarterback Joe Flacco, the Browns have played exceptionally well this season. The veteran has been impressive, throwing for 10 touchdowns and 1,307 yards since his return to the league.
In their last encounter, the Browns secured a 24-16 victory against the Jets. Flacco, playing for the Jets at the time, put up a solid performance but fell short of securing the win.
Betting Insights: The Odds
According to BetMGM Sportsbook, the Browns are entering this matchup as 7-point favorites. The moneyline odds favor the Browns at -350, while the Jets sit at +275. The over/under (point total) is set at 36.5 points. Given the Browns’ recent strong performances and the Jets’ struggles, it seems like a sensible choice to bet on the Browns to cover the spread.
Fantasy Insights: Who to Watch
For all you fantasy football enthusiasts, consider starting Joe Flacco, who has been in fine form as of late. Additionally, keep your eye on Amari Cooper, who is coming off a record-setting performance and is driven to maintain his exceptional performance for the Browns. On the Jets’ side, Breece Hall could be a reliable choice, given his consistent performance as the leading rusher and his knack for finding the end zone. Garrett Wilson is a scary start, considering the murky play at quarterback but he should be in your lineup.
Nate’s Player Prop of The Game
Joe Flacco Under 232.5 Passing Yards
- Jets only allow 168.6 passing yards per game (second-best)
- The veteran is due for a bad game after four hot games to start his comeback. Hasn’t faced a defense to the level that New York is at.
- New York held Washington to just 156 yards passing last week (despite playing both Jacoby Brissett and Sam Howell)
