Well, that was quick. Tight ends coach Andy Bischoff left the New York Giants to join the Chargers. Enter Tim Kelly. Ironically he also comes from the Tennessee Titans (he and Shane Bowen will be reunited). Like Bowen, Kelly is one of the younger coaches on the Giants staff at just 37 years old. He also served as the offensive coordinator for Tennessee this past season.

- Kelly has worked in the NFL for 10 years.
- Served as offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans in 2019. Was also the tight ends coach in 2017 and 2018.
- Quarterbacks coach in 2020 for Houston too.
- Served as passing game coordinator in 2022.
- Helped guys like Chig Okonkwo have solid seasons
- Titans was seventh in tight end receiving yards with 952 yards.
- Enters a Giants tight end led by the oft-injured Darren Waller and youngster Daniel Bellinger.
- Kelly’s experience should help these two guys have improved seasons compared to 2023.
- Started coaching in 2008, serving as defensive graduate assistant for Illinois Wesleyan
- 2010: defensive coordinator and defensive line coach for Minnesota State-Moorhead
- 2011: graduate assistant for Ball State
- 2012-2013: graduate assistant for Penn State
What Position Is Left On The Giants’ Staff?
With the hiring of Kelly, the only position left to be filled is the outside linebackers coach for the G-Men.
