With the start of OTAs going around the league, the New York Giants are a team to keep an eye on. Here are things you need to know today.

I don’t blame him. The Giants already brought in Drew Lock to compete with him this offseason. Also, the team reportedly tried to trade up to third overall with the Patriots.
Despite the criticism surrounding the quarterback, he looks healthy so far. Not only that, he’s been performing well in OTAs. Whether it’s his accuracy or velocity throwing the ball, Jones looks primed to keep the QB1 job for the 2024 season.
The next step in Jones’s journey to being 100% is performing in 11 on 11 drills. He has already been working during 7 on 7’s, all without a brace on the knee he suffered the ACL tear on.
With doubters around the world, Jones has all the motivation he needs to have the best year of his career in 2024. They just lit a fire into his soul.
Cor’Dale Flott Still To Be Probable CB2
In his third year in the league, cornerback Cor’Dale Flott is slated to play the biggest role he’s ever been in.
Despite the Giants’ decision to draft Andru Phillips in the 2024 draft, the rookie will start and remain in the slot position. With that said, many wondered who would be the CB2 and opposite of Deonte Banks.
During OTAs so far, Flott has impressed the coaching staff playing the CB2 role. Coaches have been impressed, especially DB coach Jerome Henderson.
I really expect Flott to have a productive and good year for us there. He’s been tremendous this offseason studying and working. I expect him to be a guy who you look at and he takes a really big jump for us and he’s doing everything he can to take that jump.

Add in head coach Brian Daboll’s words from the second day of rookie minicamp, and Flott has the confidence of the coaching staff to make a big jump this upcoming season. If he can remain healthy (nine games missed in the past two seasons), then we shouldn’t be surprised if the young cornerback is the answer.
Jermaine Eluemenor: The Giants’ Best-Kept Secret
Bleacher Report recently released a list of players from all 32 teams that are the “best-kept secrets”. For the Giants, author Matt Holder gave that title to offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemenor.
The former Raider was signed to a two-year, $14 million deal this offseason, upgrading the offensive line in an instant. His versatility (guard and tackle experience) helps a lot, and many believed he would be the replacement at right tackle. However, the Giants have no plans to move incumbent Evan Neal from that position.
At the moment, Eluemenor is serving as the left guard during OTAs. He looks to keep that starting job for the time being.
In 2022, the lineman had a 75.3 PFF grade, playing 940 snaps and allowing just three sacks. Last season, Eluemenor allowed just 28 pressures and would grade out at 68.7. Those numbers were better than everyone except Andrew Thomas who played on the Giants’ offensive line last year.
Joe Schoen continues to help improve the offensive line as best as he can so far during his tenure. This may finally be the year when the Giants finally have a top-15 offensive line group.
