*** Disclaimer: please do not do everything in the world to go pick up these players. Just because they have great matchups for the playoffs doesn’t mean success always. Look at the time where Tom Brady has disappointed or two years ago where Julio Jones ruined your playoff runs. Also, there are times like Blake Bortles or Josh Allen have dominated the playoffs due to great matchups. If you are in free agency or involved in trades then these players could make sense for your Fantasy playoff run.  Below are players have great matchups for fantasy playoffs based on weeks 14-16. *****

Quarterbacks

JAX: Gardner Minshew or Nick Foles – (LAC, OAK, ATL)

We may have ourselves another Jaguar quarterback win us a fantasy championship yet again. Minshew has impressed as a rookie so far and if he were to continue as the starter he will be a great start. Reports are that Nick Foles is back at practice and could be eligible to return after week 11. The Jaguars did pay Foles to be the starter so they may turn back to him.  Whoever starts going into the playoffs will get three great matchups. The Chargers have been decimated by injuries and won’t be able to hold up the pass defense. Both Atlanta and Oakland defense has allowed a combined nine quarterbacks to have top 10 finishes thus far. A strong run and rising young talent at the receiver should be able to uplift whoever plays quarterback.

IND: Jacoby Brissett – (TB,NO,CAR)

We have ourselves the next possible great Colts’ quarterback to help you win your fantasy playoffs. After an average start, Brissett has really come into his own as a quarterback. He shows us his fantasy value with a big win in week seven by throwing 326 yards and four touchdowns. He will have an opportunity to show his value with good matchups. First, he will get a Bucs defense who allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Saints and Panthers are able to score big to get up early on their opponents. The downside they allow opposing offenses to get back in the game with softer coverage. Brissett is able to keep up with teams and put up points.

Other Considerations:

Cleveland Baker Mayfield – (CIN, ARI, BAL)

Carolina’s QB – (ATL,SEA,IND)

San Fran Jimmy Garoppolo – (NO, ATL, LAR)

Titan’s QB – (OAK, HOU, NO)

Running Backs:

MIN: Dalvin Cook/Alexander Mattison(DET,LAC,GB)

The Vikings are the third-ranked rushing team in the NFL. Dalvin Cook is leading the league in rushing with 725 yards and a 5.5 YPC. Even Mattison has value in the playoffs giving him more reps if the Vikings are in contention to give Cook’s rest. Two of the three games that Cook’s faces in the playoffs, he has already combined for 300 yards against them.  As for the Chargers, they have allowed three 100 yard performances so far and with injuries piling up, expected more rushing to come.

DEN: Phillip Lindsay/Royce Freeman (HOU, KC, DET)

The Denver running back duo has been surprisingly effective this season. The duo has combined for 1000 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns. The offense runs through the run game they get two opponents(KC & DET) who are the top six in rushing yards allowed so far.  Houston might be stronger against the run but they allow an average of 8 receptions to the running back position a game. Expect both to be highly productive during playoffs.

Other Considerations:

Washington’s RBs (GB, PHI, NYG)

Miami’s RBs (NYJ, NYG, CIN)

Patriots Sony Michel (KC, CIN, BUF)

Bears RBs(DAL,GB,KC)

Wide Receiver

TEN: Corey Davis/A.J. Brown – (OAK, HOU, NO)

It’s hard to trust the Titan’s offense with the lack of a good quarterback but Tannehill shows us that he could change that.  He helped Davis and Brown have their season-high in targets on the season with both receivers having great days in week 7. If Tannehill is able to keep up decent production then going into the fantasy playoff both Davis and Brown should excel. Their matchups all have given up big plays to opponent’s receives. They have talent, just need someone to throw them the ball.

IND: T.Y. Hilton – (TB,NO,CAR)

Hilton has enjoyed early success with a great connection with Jacoby Brissett.  He is going to continue his success in the playoffs with three terrific matchups.  His opponents are all currently in the top 10 in yards allowed to the receivers. You have to expect all these games to be shootouts as their opponents’ offense are some of the most pass-heavy teams in the league right now.  Now that the Colts offense is beginning to jell together, you can expect the yards and points per game to skyrocket.

Other Considerations:

Redskins Terry McLaurin  (GB, PHI, NYG)

Jag’s WRs (LAC, OAK, ATL)

San Fran Emmanuel Sanders(NO, ATL, LAR)

Giants’ Slot Duo (PHI, MIA, WAS)

TE

CAR: Greg Olsen(ATL,SEA,IND)

No one has a better matchup than the top 6 to 8 tight ends in the league but outside of that, Olsen finds himself with some very good matchups. He is still fourth on the team in targets so he is still heavily involved. If Cam comes back and plays then that could raise it even more with the connection they share.  The defenses, he gets to go up again are in the top 6 in points allowed to the tight end position. In the final stretch of the season, the Panthers may need to use all their weapons with hopes of a playoff spot.

Other Considerations:

Rams Gerald Everett (SEA, DAL, SF )

Houston TEs (DEN, TEN, TB )

Saints TEs (SF, IND, TEN)

DST

Ravens’ DST (BUF, NYJ, CLE)

After the Ravens made a move to bolster their secondary in acquiring Marcus Peters, they are turning into a solid option for the playoffs. The Bills aren’t the best offensive team in the league as their defense wins their games.  The Jets are a mess of a team right now and who knows if they will get it together with bad leadership. Cleveland’s leadership is failing them on offense with uncreative play-calling and Baker’s sophomore slump.

Other Considerations:

Patriots (KC, CIN, BUF)

Eagles (NYG, WAS, DAL )

Giants (PHI, MIA, WAS)
