Yankees fans, I have some sad news to deliver, Gerrit Cole officially ended your season. Its nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes you just run into someone who’s better than you, its sad but it happens. I guess you kind of deserve it when your three hitter is Brett Gardner. Also very strange he just had the best season of his career at age 35. Whenever I see someone doing stuff like this I have to wonder if there’s extra juice running through his veins.
Short porches, juiced balls, juiced players doesn’t matter nothing can save the Yankees now. This series is basically 3-1 right now, with Cole scheduled for game six or seven. The talent discrepancy is just to large for the Yankees to win the three other games.
I know the Yankees are a once proud franchise, the bullies of the MLB. ‘We have 27 rings 27 RINGS’, I know and 18 of those were before 1960 and Joe DiMaggio is not walking through that door. It sucks to hear but the New York Yankees are just another franchise now. Players aren’t intimidated to go into the Bronx and see the pinstripes anymore, sad but it is what it is. Its OK Yankees fans you were spoiled before you’ll get used to it.
George Springer, Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, Justin Verlander, Zack Greinke and Gerrit Cole the Astros just have to much talent. Its going to be fun to watch the greatest team of all time beat up on the Yankees.
