With the NFL rolling into week 9 it’s time to look at what lineup you can use to win money in DraftKings all day Sunday only contest. With several teams on bye it’s imperative to do deep research to find diamonds in the rough and top-notch superstars.
DraftKings lineup
Derek Carr DraftKings 5,500
In a game featuring two defenses that are consistently gashed for huge numbers, there should be plenty of passing attempts in this one. There are more expensive quarterbacks that you could go with but at 5,500 it gives you the ability to fit in other higher-priced players. The Lions have allowed at least 18 fantasy points to the quarterback position every week except Week 2, including 29.2 and 30.2 the last two weeks. With Quandre Diggs gone from the Lions their defense will be even worse this week.
Le’Veon Bell DraftKings 7,700
I know what you are thinking, any Jet player this must be a mistake but there is a method behind this madness. First off the opponent is the Dolphins. Who are the second worst defense in the league in rushing yards allowed and worst vs running backs overall. Bell complained of needing the ball more. Like the old saying goes squeaky wheel gets the oil, look for the Jets to constantly feed Bell the rock.
Jordan Howard DraftKings 5,100
Some people that play fantasy don’t believe in revenge games. But to me you look for any edge when it comes to picking lineups. Jordan Howard was originally drafted by this week’s opponent the Chicago Bears. Even though the Bears are a good team vs the run Howard has five TDs in his last 6 games. Including 96 yards and a TD last week at Buffalo another good defense.
Keenan Allen DraftKings 6,400
This pick is a case of the home team trailing most of the game and having to pass to keep up. The Chargers face off against the Packers. There is a good chance the Chargers will be trailing early and often. The Packers are a middle of the pack passing defense. Keenan Allen should have plenty of targets to justify his 6,400 salary. Allen has had 11 and 10 targets the last two weeks.
Tyrell Williams DraftKings 5,900
This pick ties into the same logic as Carr. Detroit’s bad passing defense plus a high scoring game should equal a big day for Williams. Williams returned from injury last week vs the Texans and went off for 91 yards and a TD.
Zach Pascal DraftKings 4,100
T.Y. Hilton is expected to be sidelined for three weeks. Which should lead to Pascal being the number one option for the Colts. They face off vs the Redskins who are a middle of the road pass defense. At only 4,100 it wont take much to get value.
Darren Waller DraftKings 6,300
See above for why I think the Raiders offensive weapons will have a great day. Waller has eight plus targets four of the last five weeks. Detroit is 27th in the league vs tight ends.
Alshon Jeffery DraftKings 5,000
This is another revenge game to take advantage of. Jeffery played for the Bears in his first five years. He has had an up and down season so far this year. Jeffery is coming off a 4 catch 64-yard day vs the Bills. It is not an ideal matchup but look for Jeffery to have extra motivation for this game. At 5,000 it is a good value for a number one wide out.
Buffalo Bills DraftKings 3,800
This game will feature Dwayne Haskins first start of his career. It also feature a Redskins offense that is bottom of the league in scoring and yards. The Bills defense has games of 10 or more fantasy points four games so far this year.
DraftKings and the NFL roll into week nine and with several bye weeks it is time for in depth research. The key to winning in DFS is to find sleepers and mid level players who can give you back five or six time value. With this lineup you should be in the money this week.
