The NFL is a crazy crazy league and football in Kansas City seems hotter than its been in a good long while. My whole family is all Chiefs‘ fans and many of them are over the age of 50. This meaning they haven’t seen our beloved chiefs go to the BIG GAME in a good long while.
What is Next for the Chiefs?
The last time they went I wasn’t even alive as I’m still the young age of 24. For the past I’d say four or five seasons under head coach Andy Reid, the Chiefs seem to always be good enough to make the playoffs, but kept on falling short time and time again of going back to the SuperBowl. That is until NOW! The Chiefs are on an eight-game win streak and beat the Texans and Titans back to back at home. In both games having come from behind wins to qualify to go to Miami and face the San Francisco 49ers for the title of Super Bowl Champions, led by young MVP Quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs have been seemingly unstoppable on offense since he’s become our full time starting quarterback.
What does this mean for the Chiefs and their fans? Fans all throughout Chiefs‘ Kingdom, as we are known, have been waiting for this moment. It’s absolutely amazing seeing them go back. For quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the young age of 24 himself. This has to be surreal! As for Coach Reid who’s one of the greatest NFL Head Coaches of all time, to not have a Super Bowl Championship under his belt. Coach Reid finally going there as the Chiefs’ coach with a chance at his first win in the big game has to be special for him as well. I know our guys will bring their A-game and will battle to the end win or lose.
As a fan, I’m so happy and proud of my Chiefs and I hope they win! Are you as football fans excited to see this matchup between KC and San Francisco? Let us know your thoughts on the big game in Miami.
