No. 1 Contenders Battle Royal for TNT Title
After last weekends Double or Nothing pay-per-view, Cody was able to defeat the “Murderhawk Monster”, Lance Archer, becoming the inaugural TNT champion in AEW. Now that the initial tournament is out of the way, Cody now focuses on being a fighting champion.
Tonight on AEW Dynamite, there will be a No. 1 contenders battle royal and the winner gets the right to challenge Cody next Wednesday (June 3) for his championship.
Could the Inner Circle pep rally work and motivate a member to get the victory here? Will this be where Brian Cage debuts? What about “Iron” Mike? The competitors have yet to be announced and is likely they won’t be.
Some guesses of who could be in the match could include: MJF, Wardlow, Luchasaurus, Colt Cabana, Shawn Spears and Darby Allin.
We’ll have to find out tonight on AEW Dynamite!
Jon Moxley Appears Live
On Saturday, Jon Moxley and Brodie Lee went one-on-one in a great match to decide who will hold AEW’s most prized possession. Moxley came out on top and he will be on Dynamite tonight live to address the future of him, his championship and AEW.
In AEW’s newest Power Rankings, MJF is ranked No. 1 with an unblemished 2020 record of 6-0 following his fantastic match against Jungle Boy last weekend. Following him (in order) we have – Lance Archer, Brodie Lee, Kenny Omega and Darby Allin.
Of these five men, MJF seems like the perfect foil for Moxley going forward. MJF hasn’t been in a white-hot angle since feuding with Cody. After Saturday, he’s proved that he’s ready to take on Moxley and finally be in the main event.
For Moxley, everyone wants a shot at that belt and better keep his head on a swivel before someone comes along and take his title for good, not just temporarily this time.
