Without much to do while my state is shut down, I was scrolling through twitter and saw something quite interesting. Dana B, aka Mr. Zillion Beers himself, tweeted this video.

Kind of funny, on brand for him. However, upon further inspection, I realized who liked this Tweet.
David Andrews, the Patriots starting center, trusted with running the offensive line and keeping Jarret Stidham upright… is a bed wetter?
A Quick Disclaimer
I am not shaming Andrews for allegedly being a bed wetter. While I have never been so drunk as to wet the bed, I do live by the mantra “to each their own”. Nobody can or should tell David Andrews what to do in his bedroom (as long as no one gets hurt), and that extends to bedwetting.
I am disappointed, however, that Andrews announced this by liking a Tweet. He could be the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of bedwetters: a famous athlete taking a stand for those going through the judgment and struggles that come with bedwetting. I am issuing you a challenge, David. Hold a press conference early next week, and be a beacon of light for bedwetters everywhere. Even though I am disappointed, I understand why he stayed in the closet for so long.
How Does This Impact His Career?
Coming out as a bed wetter is a scary prospect. It has torn families apart, and ruined careers, especially for an NFL center. Stidham lines up under center next year, he’s scared David might have some bladder issues and botches the snap. God forbid he actually can’t hold it, or that would be a very awkward post-game press conference.
Ok, that’s a bit extreme. Andrews hasn’t had these issues in the past, so why would he now? However, if he’s waking up every night after wetting the bed, his play will suffer. If this becomes an issue, that could be curtains for Andrews’ career, especially as the Patriots look to continue the dynasty.
What Should David Andrews Do?
In my humble opinion, David Andrews has to get out in front of this thing. Hold a press conference, be a hero to those in a similar boat. By doing this, teams will be more forgiving of Andrews and get him the help he needs.
