The Xfinity Alsco 300 green flag is in the air!
Xfinity Alsco 300: Stage One
Ross Chastain jumps ahead quickly to lead the field into turn one.
Kody Vanderwal in the number 52 is in the wall and the caution is out on lap five.
Chastain continues to lead.
On lap 21, the competition caution comes out
At the restart, Chastain leads again.
With 18 laps to go in stage one, Vanderwal is in more trouble and the yellow flag is out.
Green flag is back out!
Chastain and Kyle Busch are on the front row.
Chastain leads but barely. They’re side by side.
Seven laps to go, Kyle Busch is out front!
Kyle Busch wins stage one!
Stage Two
Kyle Busch and Chastain lead the field to green.
Chastain has the lead.
Busch is on the bumper of Chastain looking to take the lead away. He goes to the inside but Chastain blocks.
Busch gets into the corner of Chastain just enough to move him up the track. It’s still not enough as Chastain continues to hold the lead.
Busch was trying to take the top spot, but now he will have to fight his way back up to P2 as Chase Briscoe goes around Busch to move to second.
Busch has now worked his way back up to second and is on the inside of Chastain. Chastain gets trapped behind a lapped car and Busch goes around him.
Kyle Busch takes the lead and wins stage two!
Stage 3 of the Xfinity Alsco 300
Briscoe is penalized for an uncontrolled tire.
As stage three gets underway, the front row remains the same. Busch and Chastain are side by side while leading the field back to green. Chastain moves back to the lead!
With 99 laps to go, Busch has momentum and passes Chastain for the lead.
During green flag pit stops, Kyle Busch, Brandon Jones, and Chase Briscoe are caught speeding on pit road.
Caution! Timmy Hill is up in smoke. Oil is on the racetrack surface and both Briscoe and Chastain slide through it and are into the wall.
Austin Cindric pitted before the caution flag came out so he is your new leader. Justin Haley is in second.
More trouble for Briscoe and the caution is out again.
Noah Gragson and Cindric have the front row and the green flag flies again, but not for long.
Austin Hill spins and the yellow flag is back out.
Cindric has the lead.
Justin Allgaier and Myatt Snider make contact and Snider spins bringing the caution out.
Cindric is back in the lead and Gragson follows behind.
Busch takes second from Gragson.
10 To Go!
Kyle Busch takes the lead!
With only eight laps to go, Riley Herbst is in the grass and the caution is out.
Busch is still in the lead.
Gragson is loose and slides up the track while collecting others. Tommy Joe Martins is hit by Gragson then is sent hard into the inside SAFER barrier.
At the green flag, Busch has the lead but Cindric is there! Cindric clears Busch for the lead!
Cindric starts to put a gap between him and Busch but time is running out and Busch is coming fast in the rear view mirror.
They’re side by side for the lead!
Busch takes the lead just in time!
Kyle Busch wins the Xfinity Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway!
This is Kyle Busch’s first Xfinity win of the season and his 97th Xfinity Series career win. While some fans say drivers like Kyle Busch shouldn’t be racing in lower series with full-time Xfinity and Truck series drivers, Busch continues to take the checkered flag and arguably in dominant style every time he straps into a racecar.
The Xfinity Series races again on Monday, June 1st at 7 PM on FS1 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Stay tuned!
