The Bucs lived up to their motto this weekend channeling their inner Bad Boys and scrapping their way to a victory versus the New Orleans Saints. It was as ugly as a game can be.
For the majority of this game, both teams were held to just a field goal. No one could get anything going and it was really looking like the Saints were going to win again.
Firstly, Tom Brady was furious, notoriously throwing his tablets and screaming. But, his tactics did not work and the Bucs were almost down and out.
Until This Happened
Tom Brady and Marshon Lattimore exchange some words.
Lattimore: “Y’all are trash, you can’t do s***”
Brady: “What did you just say? You b**** a** mother******”
For this reason, Mike Evans then runs full speed into Lattimore after the whistle which eventually started a brawl. Evans and Lattimore both received ejections. Both two of the best players on their respective units.
After this, the momentum is with the Bucs. Brady hit Breshad Perriman for a touchdown & the Bucs defense intercepted Jameis Winston twice.
If it was an intentional move on Mike Evans’s part to sacrifice himself to get Lattimore ejected, I think it was a genius move. Let’s not forget these two have been going at it for years now. They aren’t strangers.
At this time, it was a defensive game. Taking out their best defender was smart. I think it was a coordinated attack and a tactic that can be traced back to the 80s. The Bucs used a play out of the Bad Boys Pistons playbook. Either that or they were just fed up and let their emotions get the best of them.
In conclusion, Mike Evans will pay a fine or get suspended. A one game suspension is what I imagine he will get. I think no matter the consequence, it was well worth it. The Bucs got the long overdue win and have started the season 2-0.
Next, the Bucs will try to make it three against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Raymond James Stadium.
Lastly, those aren’t actual words said by Brady or Lattimore but it was probably something like that.
