The New York Giants had a scare at the end but pulled out a 23-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Led by Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley, the offense continues to shine under head coach Brian Daboll and his coaching staff.
On a day when the offense scored a touchdown on the first drive of the game, it seemed as if Jones would make his presence felt with his arm. Wrong, but it wasn’t all bad. Instead, Danny Dimes ran for 107 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown to cap off a career day.

How about them apples?
Jones also had a touchdown pass to Darius Slayton, who is getting more opportunities to shine with Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney struggling to stay healthy.
Of course, you can’t spell offense without Saquon Barkley. Well, you could but let’s face it: Barkley has been the face of this team since day one. He made his presence felt, rushing for 110 yards on 24 carries. Although he didn’t rush for a touchdown, he did contribute in the passing game with 25 receiving yards.

Wan’Dale Robinson had six catches for 50 yards, slowly becoming Jones’s favorite target in just his second game back from injury. Though tight end Daniel Bellinger had only one catch for 13 yards, he was removed from the game due to being poked in the eye by a defender.
The Giants’ Defense Was…
As for the defense, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for them. They allowed Trevor Lawrence to throw for 310 yards, and Travis Etienne ran all over them for 114 yards.
However, they made key plays when it counted. Although they didn’t record a sack, this Giants’ defense continues to not break in the big moments.

In the fourth quarter, with the Giants up 23-17, the Jaguars had one last chance to drive down the field and score. A few questionable calls against New York gave Lawrence and the Jags one play to score a touchdown.

One yard away. But, the Giants got it done and they record their fourth straight win. Onto Seattle, gentlemen.
