The San Francisco 49ers are ready to battle the Washington Commanders. Let’s go over who stands out and where the advantages are for both sides!
Offense
The 49ers have had their injuries by missing Deebo Samuel and Jimmy Garoppolo to name a few. Undoubtedly this is the part of the season where injuries are consistent. Mike McGlinchey is playing with broken ribs while Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey are off the injury report. The 49ers’ offense is very potent with Brock Purdy at QB. The Washington Commanders will provide a great test to the defense as their offense has names like Terry McLaurin and Brian Robinson being main contributors for the Commanders! Taylor Heinicke continues to prove that anyone can play in this league with consistency and a strong desire to win. Which is better you’d ask? Gimme the 49ers’ offense in this matchup with Purdy showing mister irrelevant can still contribute in this league besides being a punchline.
Defense
The 49ers on the defensive side are the standard of what a dominant defense should look like. Clearly, Fred Warner along with Dre Greenlaw are leaders on this defense. This defense is also adding Javon Kinlaw who had come off IR. Nick Bosa is getting help as the middle of the defense includes Kinlaw and Arik Armstead. Now, where is the weakness of this defense? Definitely not in the secondary where newly ascending, Pro Bowl selection Talanoa Hufanga. In addition, the Washington Commanders are getting help up front as Chase Young is situated to suit up. Washington has a few names to point out, but the 49ers are overwhelming from head to toe.
Final Thoughts and Score Prediction
The 49ers are going to continue their dominance and take care of business as Taylor Heinicke is chased all around the yard by Nick Bosa and company. Brock Purdy will continue showing that mister irrelevant can have a successful career as the 49ers prepare to get their 6th Super Bowl in franchise history. Score 27-14 49ers!
