- Elite competitor.
- Showed ability to trail the top receiver.
- Fills run lanes very well.
- Closes gaps quickly with lightning quick reaction speed.
- Tends to hold or get handsy on route breaks, which is unnecessary due to his elite natural abilities.
- His quick response was his undoing at times, slipping or biting on route breaks.
Short Summary
Deonte Banks is a superstar, and while his stock is already on the rise, he should be getting even more. Before the Combine results, his explosiveness on tape was clear, and his coverage abilities were off the charts. He was easily one of the best Cornerbacks in this class.
All that before the Combine, where he blew our expectations out of the water. He finished with a 10.0 RAS, which is as elite as it gets. Combine his play skills with his elite athleticism, he is my CB1.
