Scouting Notes

  • Tough and cerebral player.
  • Phenomenal at reading the field and getting to the right spot.
  • Great pass rush arsenal, but inconsistent production.
  • Constantly made huge plays, massively impactful player.
  • Slips through holes very well to get to the backfield.
  • Quarterback of the defense.
  • Not a fluid mover in space, can’t dissociate his hips from his head.
  • Disappeared in some games.

Short Summary

When watching the tape, it’s impossible to miss Drew Sanders. He is everywhere. Any time Arkansas had a big defensive play, it was Drew Sanders. He plays with extreme mental focus, and is truly the coveted “defensive Quarterback”.

Sanders won’t blow you away athletically, but his play-making ability and football IQ are off the charts. He will be a good NFL starter and has a shot at being a true defensive leader.
