Most fans are happy to watch the majority of basketball games on television. However, it can be worthwhile making the effort to attend a basketball game in person from time to time. For one thing, they’re just fun — there’s always a great atmosphere at NBA games. Seeing the game live will also deepen your understanding of the game and remind you why you fell in love with the sport in the first place.
And there’s another reason why getting tickets to a game can be beneficial. It’ll give you a chance to see the all-time great players in person. It’s easy to take phenomenal players for granted, but there’ll come a time when they retire. In the years to come, you’ll be happy that you get to see “I see them play in person.” In this post, we’ve put together a list of players who are worth making a special trip to see in person.
LeBron James

He’s been in the league for what seems like forever and yet, at 38, he remains one of the best players. There will come a time in the not-too-distant future when James retires, so now’s the time to go see him while you still can. If you could go back in time to see Michael Jordan in person, you would — don’t miss your chance to see one of the GOATs.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant has long been one of the best players in the league. His record speaks for itself. In fact, his achievements are so extensive that we couldn’t possibly list even a fraction of his achievements here. He’s not the greatest shooter or scorer, but he manages to do both — a rare skill — extremely well, and it’s not for nothing that teams do much better when he arrives. He’s a versatile, efficient player who is just supremely talented at what he does. Durant’s currently playing for the Phoenix Suns, and in truth, he still has many years ahead of him, but now’s the time to go see him in his prime.
Stephen Curry

In other words, he’s one of the best to ever do it — and when it comes to points, he is the best. Curry is currently 35 and though his style of play means he can enjoy a few more years at the top, it’s worthwhile scoring cheap tickets at hellotickets.com to see the Golden State Warriors now, while you still can. They’re going to be talking about Curry for years, and there’s every chance that no one ever beats his points record. Make sure you’re able to say that you saw him score a few yourself.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic is unlike any other NBA player, in more ways than one. For one, he doesn’t act like a superstar. In fact, he often doesn’t act like he even likes basketball that much. That makes him a bit of a cult hero. But then the other fact of the matter is that he’s an extremely talented basketball player. He’s in the top three in the league at the moment, and he’s dropping league records like there’s no tomorrow. He’s only twenty-eight at the moment, so there’s every chance that his best years are up ahead. Get your tickets to see him today, and you’ll be witnessing a future Hall of Famer doing what he does best.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
The best player in the league, it’s simply a joy to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo do his thing. There’s clearly a lot to love about Giannis, who had an unconventional journey to the NBA. There’s a documentary in the works that should help to grow his stature even further. He’s not currently talked about in relation to the all-time great times, but that’s fine — he’s on his own journey, and by the time he retires he’ll have a long, long list of achievements under his belt. Making a trip to Milwaukee or seeing him on the road should be on the list of anyone who values basketball.
It takes effort to see the greats, but it’s worth doing. After all, you only live once — make the most of it!
