Mohegan Sun will play host to the 2024 PFL 4 Regular Season showcases. Matchups in the Heavyweight and Women’s Flyweight divisions are the theme of the night. Here’s a closer look at some the fighters and their upcoming battles.
Main Card
Valentin Moldavsky (13-3) vs. Linton Vassell (23-9)
This is the highly anticipated trilogy for these heavyweight titans. Moldavsky took the first bout by decision many years ago, but Vassell avenged that loss last year with a first-round knockout. Moldavsky comes into this fight with momentum, having won his bout against Ante Delija in PFL 1. He secured a first-round victory and earned 6 points, placing him at the top of the standings. Vassell, on the other hand, was TKO’d by top contender Denis Goltsov but will send the judges home early in this one and take the rubber match.
Dakota Ditcheva (11-0) vs. Chelsea Hackett (4-2-1)
Undefeated Dakota Ditcheva is on a mission to extend her perfect record against Chelsea Hackett in the Women’s Flyweight division. Ditcheva showcased her dominance by TKO’ing Lisa Mauldin in PFL 1, securing 6 points. Hackett, on the other hand, was tapped out by Jena Bishop in the first round of PFL 1. Ditcheva will grab another six points, moving on easily in this one.
Denis Goltsov (33-8) vs. Thiago Santos (22-12)
Denis Goltsov faces one of the toughest opponents of his career in Thiago Santos. At 40 years old, Santos has faced some of the best fighters in MMA, and is not an easy finish. Goltsov will have his hands full in this one, but ultimately proves his youth and skills are enough to get his arm raised with the UD.
Liz Carmouche (21-7) vs. Kana Watanabe (13-2-1)
Bellator champ Liz Carmouche is riding an eight-match win streak. She takes on Kana Watanabe. The two met a few years back at this same arena, with Carmouche securing a stoppage just 35 seconds into the first round. Expect the champ to make quick work of Watanabe again and secure the points in this PFL matchup.
Prelims
Taila Santos (20-3) vs. Jena Bishop (7-0)
Taila Santos faces the undefeated Jena Bishop. Santos has only three losses, two of which came against top fighters Erin Blanchfield and Valentina Shevchenko in closely contested bouts. Santos bounced back with a quick win over Ilara Joanne in PFL 1, and Bishop also scored easily in her PFL 1 matchup. Expect Santos to outclass her opponent and get a late first-round stoppage.

PFL POINTS SYSTEM
A fight winner earns 3 points. In the event of a draw, both fighters receive 1 point each. Bonus points for finishing a fight early. 3 points for a first-round win, 2 points for a second-round win, and 1 point for a third-round win provided the stoppage occurs before 4:59 of the third round. No bonus points are awarded for decision victories.
For instance, a fighter securing a win in the first round will receive a total of 6 points (3 for the win and 3 as a bonus). A decision win results in 3 total points. If a fighter misses weight, their opponent, assuming they make weight, is awarded 3 points for a walkover victory, irrespective of the actual bout outcome; if the non-offending fighter wins by stoppage, they receive all applicable bonus points.
