2020 has been a weird year, and a lot of people are hoping 2021 will be a bit more normal. Of course it won’t, why would you think that? Two men are going to step in a ring and start off 2021 with some weird storylines. While we were all talking about Kane vs Paul, Mayweather vs Logan Paul is happening!

Who has the Edge?

Size

In Mayweather vs Logan Paul, I don’t think size will have that big of an impact, given the natural ability/experience of one over the other. However, Logan Paul comes in at 6’2, 199 lbs with a 75 inch reach. This makes him substantially bigger than Floyd, who is 5’8, 150 lbs, albeit with a 72 inch reach.

Advantage: Logan Paul

Experience

C’mon, is this a question? Mayweather is 50-0. Logan Paul is 0-1 after losing to KSI in a split decision. Even if Floyd wasn’t undefeated, he still has the experience. This is a huge factor in Mayweather vs Logan Paul, and gives a huge edge to Mayweather.

Age

This will be a factor in Mayweather vs Logan Paul, but not a huge one. Obviously Paul (25) is eighteen years younger than Mayweather (43). I’m not going to sit here and argue Mayweather is out of shape, or too old to do it. I mean, Mike Tyson stepped back in the ring at 54, and Floyd has fought more recently than Tyson. But, Logan Paul gets the edge.

Who Should You Take?

Odds Shark has Mayweather as the favorite at -5000, with Paul a +1500 (Sports Betting Dime has them at -6000 and +1750, respectively). Mayweather is the heavy favorite, but based on my calculations, Logan Paul has the advantage… No, I’m just kidding, unless there’s a new reading section I don’t know about. Mayweather vs Logan Paul is going to be a blood bath and Logan Paul may not land a punch. With odds this big, however, a $100 bet on Mayweather will net you a whopping $2. If Logan Paul pulls off the upset, however, you’d win $1,500. Do you have $100 to burn? In that case, take some advice from Kevin Malone:

If anyone gives you 10,000 to 1 odds on anything, you take that bet. If John Mellencamp ever wins an Oscar, I will be one rich dude.

Kevin Malone, The Office

Give me Logan Paul, strictly because if it happens, I will be one rich dude… well, $1,500 richer.

Think Logan Paul can pull off the upset? Let me know on Twitter, (@BellyUpKev). Or yell at me for even debating this.
