Day two of Rally Perce-Neige has passed, marking both the end of the event and the first round of the 2023 CRC season.
Rally Perce-Neige Day Two Rundown
Day two of Rally Perce-Neige would see drivers tackle 18 snow-covered stages totalling 187.88 kilometres. Drivers would face all 18 of the rallies stages in a single day as day one of Rally Perce-Neige would only see drivers run a 3.22km shakedown stage.
First Leg
SS1, Farley 1, 7.91km
Stage one would see reigning Canadian Rally Champion Jerome Mailloux take the stage win. Mailloux would beat TEST Racing teammate Olivier Martel by 13 seconds to take the win. Simon Vincent would place third on the stage, 0.6 seconds behind Martel. Jean-Sébastien Besner would place fourth on the stage, 1.6 seconds behind Vincent. Alexandre Moreau would round out the top five finishing the stage 7.2 seconds behind Besner
SS2, Domaine Du Cerf 1, 6.16km
Stage two would once again see Jerome Mailloux win the stage, beating Olivier Martel by 8.7 seconds. Alexandre Moreau would finish third on the stage, 1.5 seconds behind Martel. Simon Vincent would place fourth on the stage, 2.5 seconds behind Moreau. J-S Besner would round out the top five, finishing the stage 1.2 seconds behind Vincent.
SS3, Blue Sea/ Bouchette 1, 6.96km
Stage three would once again see Jerome Mailloux take the stage win, beating J-S Besner by 11.1 seconds. M-A Brisebois would place third on the stage, 5.2 seconds behind Besner. Simon Vincent would place fourth on the stage, 0.1 seconds behind Brisebois. Jason Bailey would round out the top five, finishing the stage 3.9 seconds behind Vincent.
SS4, Farley 2, 7.91km
Stage four would see Jerome Mailloux take yet another stage win, beating Alexandre Moreau by 6.6 seconds. Olivier Martel would place third on the stage, 0.9 seconds behind Moreau. Simon Vincent and J-S Besner would tie for fourth on the stage, both finishing 2.9 seconds behind Martel.
SS5, Domaine Du Cerf 2, 6.16km
Stage five would once again see Jerome Mailloux take the stage win, beating Alexandre Moreau by 2.9 seconds. Simon Vincent would place third on the stage, 4.6 seconds behind Moreau.
SS6, Blue Sea/ Bouchette 2, 6.96km
Stage six would see Jerome Mailloux once again take the stage win, J-S Besner by 9.8 seconds. Simon Vincent would place third on the stage 0.9 seconds behind Benser.
SS7, Marie Anne 1, 1.98km
Stage seven would once again see Jerome Mailloux take the stage win, beating Olivier Martel by 1.8 seconds. Alexandre Moreau would place third on the stage, 0.8 seconds behind Martel.
Second Leg
SS8, Marie Anne 2, 1.98km
Stage eight would finally see somebody not named Jerome Mailloux win the stage. As Alexandre Moreau would take the stage win, beating Simon Vincent by 0.5 seconds. J-S Besner would place third on the stage 0.3 seconds behind Vincent.
SS9, Tortue 1 (SUD), 29.15km
Stage nine would once again see Alexandre Moreau win the stage, beating Olivier Martel by 22.2 seconds. Sylvain Érickson would place third on the stage, 5.5 seconds behind Martel.
SS10, Cayamant 1 (SUD), 14.06km
Stage 10 would see Jerome Mailloux take another stage win, beating Sylvain Érickson by seven seconds. M-A Brisebois would place third on the stage 1.6 seconds behind Érickson.
SS11, Lac À Larche 1 (EST), 8.37km
Stage 11 would see Olivier Martel take the stage win, beating Sylvain Érickson by six seconds. Alexandre Moreau would place third on the stage, 0.8 seconds behind Érickson.
Third Leg
SS12, Tortue 2 (SUD), 29.15km
Stage 12 would see Jerome Mailloux take the stage win, beating Olivier Martel by 39.8 seconds. Alexandre Moreau would place third on the stage, 3.9 seconds behind Martel.
SS13, Cayamant 2 (SUD), 14.06km
Stage 13 would see Jerome Mailloux once again take the stage win, beating Simon Vincent by 9.9 seconds. Olivier Martel would place third on the stage 7.2 seconds behind Vincent.
SS14, Lac À Larche 2 (EST), 8.37km
Stage 14 would see Alexandre Moreau take the stage win, beating Simon Vincent by 10 seconds. Olivier Martel would place third on the stage two seconds behind Vincent.
SS15, Lapointe 1 (NORD), 12.88km
Stage 15 would see Olivier Martel win the stage, beating Jerome Mailloux by 5.9 seconds. Sylvain Érickson would place third on the stage 2.6 seconds behind Mailloux.
SS16, Des Eaux 1 (SUD), 6.47km
Stage 16 would see Jerome Mailloux win the stage, beating Olivier Martel by 5.6 seconds. Alexandre Moreau would place third on the stage 6.4 seconds behind Martel.
