With the College football regular season complete, and the NFL regular season winding down, we finally have some clarity on the NFL draft prospects. While rankings may vary and the draft order is yet to be set, The Sports Stove’s Vince Stover has built his 2025 NFL Draft Big Board. Take a look at what Vince has and give your input on this edition of the Sports Stove NFL Draft Big Board.

Quarterbacks

Only two QBs make the top 20 on my Big Board. Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is almost a lock to go number one overall in the 2025 draft, but he has yet to crack my top 10 on the big board. Sanders is the best QB in the draft, and I believe will find success in the league, but he’s not a top-10 talent this year. Cam Ward has finally jumped into my top 20. The only other QB worthy of a first-round grade in this draft. Cam Ward needs to find himself in an ideal fit or his career will be short as a starter. Fit is important for any QB, but Ward needs a solid veteran to sit behind for a year. I think the Rams would be a perfect spot for him.

Edge Rushers

The deepest position in the first round is Edge Rusher. Abdul Carter is in the top two on any credible sources Big Board. Carter is the best Edge prospect this year, but he is joined in my top 20 by two Georgia defenders, Jalon Walker, and Mykel Williams, Tennesse’s James Pearce, and Nic Scourton from Texas A&M. I have my questions about Mykel Williams, but he still is high on my board. I really like what Scourton can do, and I could see him being a high-impact player as a rookie.

Offensive Tackle

The Offensive Line is no longer yawned about in the NFL draft. Fans understand the need for a solid O Line. This year’s draft will serve up some locks at Tackle. I have Texas’ Kelvin Banks as my top tackle, but Will Campbell from LSU is close behind.

Defensive Backs

Travis Hunter appears to be viewed primarily as a CB and is numero uno on my board. I love what Will Johnson is bringing to the table! Great size and has a good history. He was only able to play in six games in 2024, but he will be a great value in the top five. We could see two Safties taken on day one, and I believe South Carolina’s Nick Emmanwori is the one that should go first. Emmanwori is a big tackling machine and will be a day-one starter wherever he lands.

The Crap Shoot

Wide Receiver and Defensive Tackle are going to be hard to predict in this draft. There are a lot of good options, but teams will be mixed about how to rank them. For WR I like Arizona’s Tetairo McMillan who was a TD machine all through his college career. I also love Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka (I have ranked 21) who I think will be a to best rookie receiver in 2025. Defensive Tackle is stacked and should see several drafted in the first two rounds. Michigan’s Mason Graham is the top DT for most people, and I have Oregon’s Derrick Harmon in my top 20.

What About Jeanty?

Ashton Jeanty has been slowly climbing up my board for weeks. He currently sits at number four. He is clearly the best RB available, and I believe he will go in the top seven. I do not have a hang-up with drafting a RB in round one, and I think Jeanty’s career has clearly shown that he is a top-five talent in this draft.
