I’m going to make these rankings short and sweet. There are the top 3 and then the rest. Tight Ends are a mish mosh of players that if you do not draft right in the beginning, you have a chance to make it up on waivers. See my overall Tight End rankings as well as how they are separated into tier’s. If you are unsure about tiers, I have an explanation in my article https://bellyupsports.com/2019/07/early-fantasy-football-quarterback-rankings/. Now the top 30 tight ends.

Rank Name Tm ADP
1 Travis Kelce KC 1
2 Zach Ertz PHI 2
3 George Kittle SF 3
4 Evan Engram NYG 5
5 Hunter Henry LAC 6
6 O.J. Howard TB 4
7 Eric Ebron IND 8
8 Delanie Walker TEN 12
9 Jared Cook NO 7
10 David Njoku CLE 10
11 Vance McDonald PIT 9
12 Austin Hooper ATL 11

19 Chris Herndon NYJ 21
20 Mark Andrews BAL 20
21 Dallas Goedert PHI 22
22 T.J. Hockenson DET 15
23 Noah Fant DEN 19
24 Mike Gesicki MIA 26
25 Tyler Eifert CIN 24

29 Cameron Brate TB 29
30 Benjamin Watson NE 39

Tier One

Rank Name Tm ADP
1 Travis Kelce KC 1
2 Zach Ertz PHI 2
3 George Kittle SF 3

It is these 3 guys and then the rest. I was big on Kittle last year and was surprised how he emerged into the top 3. Ertz is a target monster and Kelce is being drafted as high as the 3rd round. I have seen some guys take one of these 3 guys instead of taking a wide receiver first. Should be interesting to see how this plays out, if that can be a strategy moving forward.

Tier Two

Rank Name Tm ADP
4 Evan Engram NYG 5
5 Hunter Henry LAC 6
6 O.J. Howard TB 4
7 Eric Ebron IND 8
8 Delanie Walker TEN 12
9 Jared Cook NO 7
10 David Njoku CLE 10

Like the top tier, this group is really hard to separate from one another. I think once the run starts, this will be the group that will be heavily targeted. My guy is Hunter Henry in this group. He will be who I am targeting. Check out my piece on Henry https://bellyupsports.com/2019/07/2019-fantasy-football-sleepers-bounce-back-candidates/ and see why I think he is a bounce back candate in 2019. I noticed Delanie Walker is getting no love this year. Even though he was out all of 2018 , you cant forget he has been a top 5 Tight End the previous 2 years.

Tier Three

Tight End Rankings
Rank Name Tm ADP
11 Vance McDonald PIT 9
12 Austin Hooper ATL 11
13 Greg Olsen CAR 16
14 Jack Doyle IND 23
15 Trey Burton CHI 13
16 Jordan Reed WAS 18
17 Kyle Rudolph MIN 14
18 Jimmy Graham GB 17
19 Chris Herndon NYJ 21
20 Mark Andrews BAL 20
21 Dallas Goedert PHI 22

If you are like me, I like to wait for a tight end, although looking at this mess I may have to jump up this year into the previous tier. So many questions with this group. Mcdonald and Hooper seem the safest, but I have drafted those 2 guys before with mediocre outcome. Olsen, Dole, Burton, Reed, Rudolph and Graham, remember when they were all top tight end picks? Now, with health issues you have to carry a second tight end if you grab one of them. Herndon is suspended 4 games maybe back him up with a player like Graham. Andrews has gotten some love out of OTA’s as well as Goedert. Going to be interesting for these guys that’s for sure.

Tier 4

Tight End Rankings
Rank Name Tm ADP
22 T.J. Hockenson DET 15
23 Noah Fant DEN 19
24 Mike Gesicki MIA 26
25 Tyler Eifert CIN 24
26 Jason Witten DAL 25
27 Gerald Everett LA 28
28 Will Dissly SEA 38
29 Cameron Brate TB 29
30 Benjamin Watson NE 39

If you want one of these rookies, you are going to have to grab them early. Hockenson and Fant seem to be the guys. Their ADP is higher than where I have them ranked. I would like to take a late flier on Mike Gesicki. I think Fitzpatrick will look for him as he did with his tight ends in Tampa Bay. No thanks on Eifert and Witten. Have no idea why the guy even came back, I would have stayed in the booth like Romo.
