In this article, I will cover a Mock Draft with the 12th Pick in this year’s 2019 Fantasy Football PPR. Check out my last article when I drafted from the number one spot.

The site I have been using is FantasyPros mock draft simulator. It is free to use, with some things you could pay for as well.

This site allows you to draft by yourself against the current ADP. The reason I like it is that the picks are quick. You do not have to worry about someone picking players just to pick them. I used basic ESPN rosters and PPR point system. 12 teams,1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 Def, 1 Kicker and 6 bench spots. You can customize the settings that fit your league.

My Draft Grade: Fantasy Football PPR Mock Draft: 12th Pick

When you are finished drafting, the draft wizard will give you your final grade. The draft grade you receive only pertains to this particular site. You may get an A on one website and a C on another with the same exact team. Each site uses their own methods in grading your draft.

Here is my grade, I will take it and I ended up being very happy with my team build.

Rounds 1-7: The Starters

Now that the draft is complete, let’s analyze my picks.

1: 12-James Connor/Rb/Pittsburgh Steelers-This was a hard pick with Travis Kelce, Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb still available. Connor will still have a bulk of the carries in 2019 with Jalen Samuels catching passes on 3rd downs.

2:13- Julio Jones/WR/Atlanta FalconsI like to grab a running back first and then a wide receiver. Julio Jones fits my build. The only problem, Travis Kelce was still on the board. Investing in a tight end this early as never been my thing. Taking Julio here makes me feel good about it.

3:36 Marlon Mack/RB/Indianapolis Colts- Colts have said they feel Mack could be a bell cow in 2019. Mack has plenty of upside to pair with Connor as my RB2.

4:37 Chris Carson/RB/Seattle Seahawks- Concerns about Carson’s knee and how much playing time he will give up to Rashaad Penny. The Seahawks should once again be at the top at rushing attempts. If Carson stays healthy, he should have enough carries to have him near the top in rushing. My only concern is that I did not handcuff Carson and Penny.

5:60 Jarvis Landry/WR/Cleveland Browns-I took Landry much higher than his ADP, but I have a good feeling this year. With ODB on the outside and getting his targets, Landry will get his in the slot. He had 119 targets last year and should be able to gel with Mayfield.

6:61 Hunter Henry/TE/Los Angeles Chargers- This is why I like to wait on the tight end. Henry may not be Travis Kelce. Before tearing his ACL, Henry mounted career stats of 115 targets 81 receptions 1.057 yards and 12 touchdowns. Plenty of upside and has a chance to finish in the top 5 for tight ends,

7:84 Cam Newton/QB/ Carolina Panthers-QB’s were flying off the board, so I had to make my move. I love a QB who can run the ball as well. Cam has the weapons around him this year to make his way back to the top 12. Hopefully, all the injury problems can stay away.

The Bench

I seem pretty set with my starters and bench. Looking at the board and my picks, there are a few guys I could have gone a different way with. Let’s take a look at my bench.

QB Kyler Murray-Some people are drafting Murray as a starter, I will play the wait and see and if it works out, then I am ahead of the game.

RB Lamar Miller- Getting my 4th running back in the 8th round is honestly a steal. Even with Duke Johnson around, Miller should get a heavy workload.

RB Jaylen Samuels-I think that Samuels could be a sneaky bench spot if Pittsburgh uses him on passing plays. There has been a lot of good things coming out of Steelers camp.

WR Anthony Miller- Miller was one of my sleepers picks last year. Before his season-ending injury finished with a quiet 7 touchdowns. Definitely will take another late-round chance on him.

WR Donte Moncrief- Moncrief is looking really good so far in camp. He has a good chance to be the number 2 receiver alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster.

WR Jamison Crowder- Do not sleep on Jamison Crowder this year! Crowder loves to play the slot, and Darnold likes to throw there. There will be no Chris Herndon down the middle for 4 games. This could be big for Crowder. He let me down last year, but I am having the same excitement come back to me.

In conclusion, doing a mock draft with the 12th pick isn’t that bad. Your plans may change as the draft does, but all in all, you can build a solid team!
