We reached the trade deadline and there was no bomb trade. We had some trades, but not as much as expected. Let’s see the most relevant news of this week and then we are going to move on to ATS Picks Week 9.

NY Jets / NY Giants

DT Leonard Williams was traded from the Jets to the Giants in exchange for a third and a fifth-round pick of the next Draft.

Wide Receivers

Good week for the WR ́s in general. The Packers Davante Adams, Eagles DeSean Jackson, Ravens Marquise Brown, Vikings Adam Thielen, Bengals A.J. Green, and  Giants Sterling Shepard have been able to return to training after their respective injuries. All of them are expected to play this Sunday.

Running Backs

If it’s a good week for the recipients, it’s the opposite for the runners. Cardinals David Johnson and Chase Edmonds, Steelers James Conner, and Benny Snell Jr. and Niners Raheem Mostert, are injured and in doubt to participate this Sunday.

Quarterbacks

There were two changes of QBs for the Broncos. The Starting QB this Sunday will be Brandon Allen since Joe Flacco will be out for 5 weeks due to injury. For the Bengals, rookie Ryan Finley has been named the starter, they send Andy Dalton to the Bench on his Birthday.

Kansas City Chiefs

The QB Patrick Mahomes is already training. It is speculated that he could return this Sunday against the Vikings or at the latest on November 18 against the Chargers in Mexico City.

How we did it  in Week 7

The new strategy worked just fine and we had three successful Picks and we were 1.5  points short of a perfect week, let’s see how it went.

Pick of the Week: Chargers +4

Doesn’t matter who the Bears kicker is, they still cost them victories, with FG failed in the last seconds. The Chargers won the game 17-16 and we hit our Pick $$$.

Pick of the Sad Brothers: Lions -6.5

My brothers and I were sad. I say my brothers because the Giants lost, and me because they only lost by 5 points and we had Detroit with -6.5 …so, the pick was failed.

Hunch Pick: Eagles +1.5

The Eagles crushed the Bills 31-13 so we hit our Pick $$$.

Additional Pick: Patriots -13

The Patriots are still undefeated and won by a score of 27-13, we hit our Pick easily  $$$.

Blacklist

Washington Redskins

The Redskins leave our blacklist, you can bet on them if you want, but if Keenum does not play, try to bet against them.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs leave our Blacklist if Mahomes does not play. I recommend betting against them, and if Mahomes returns, bet on the Chiefs.

Denver Broncos

They enter our Blacklist, Joe Flacco is out and we will have to wait to see how Brandon Allen plays to know whether to bet on them or not.

Week 8 ATS Picks

We will try to match last week’s success and we are going to bet 4 Picks that I consider very good ones.

Pick of the Week: Raiders -2.5

Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders: Two very underrated teams. But two teams that have improved a lot compared to the past season. It will be a very close game, Oakland comes from their super tour where they were away from home for 6 weeks. They need to return home with a victory if they want to keep the Playoff hopes alive, supported by the great offensive line. Oakland must dominate in the trenches and tire the Lions defense with their powerful ground game.

The secret will be that Oakland’s defense does not allow big plays to get away with the victory. On the other hand, Detroit is very affected by the loss of their starting RB  Kerryon Johnson and they always had a hard time playing as visitors in the natural ground, so I stay with the Raiders in this one.

Pick of the Happy Brothers: Giants +7

Dallas Cowboys at NY Giants: Always a very hard Divisional game. The first game of this season was won by Dallas. But Eli Manning was the starting QB for the Giants. This time Daniel Jones is in command of the Offense and I think that at least it will be a close game. Dallas has been a very irregular team, so we do not know what version of Dak Prescott and company we will see. I think my brothers will be happy this week. If his team loses I will be happy because i think they will lose for less than 1 TD, lol.

Hunch Pick: Steelers -1

Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers: This is not the game we expected to see, No Andrew Luck vs Big Ben this time. Pittsburgh seems to have found the pace at last with Mason Rudolph at QB and his defense is playing at a very high level. The Colts, on the other hand, have surprised all those who discarded them when Andrew Luck retired. However, this time QB Jacoby Brissett will have a very complicated match. He does not have his man WR, T.Y. Hilton, also his air defense gives a lot of facilities to the opponents. So I think Steelers should win this game at home by at least a FG.

Additional Pick: Patriots -3.5

New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens:This is the game of the week the undefeated that everyone wants to see fall. The New England Patriots go to a very difficult visit to Baltimore. In this game, Tom Brady will face Lamar Jackson. Two very different styles of QBs, Brady an old-fashioned QB, a pure pocket passer and Jackson a running QB that can attack both by land and by air. But Jackson still lacks experience and I think that Bill Belichick can take advantage of it very well and come out with the victory.

It will be an even game and I think those who will decide this game will be the defenses. But still, believe in the experience of the Patriots to win this game by at least 4 points. That was Pac ATS Picks Week 9.

It’s all for today, see you next week with more Picks and NFL news in Belly Up Sports.
