It’s the Monday Night Raw after the Royal Rumble, live from Phoenix, Arizona!

Seth Rollins

Rollins opened and closed Monday Night Raw tonight.

The winner of the 2019 Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins kicked Raw off tonight. He gets a ‘you deserve it’ chant and points at the Wrestlemania sign, as tradition. Triple H comes out and is basically a proud dad. He says Seth Rollins is the ‘one’ and says Seth has to make his decision on who he wants to fight at Wrestlemania. Bryan and Lesnar are both in the building and Triple H needs an answer before the end of the night.

Dean Ambrose’s music hits and things get heated between Triple H and Ambrose. After a little, Triple H makes Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose on the spot. The two had a lengthy match and Rollins won via curb stomp clean.

Seth’s announcement was used for the night’s closing segment. Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman come out and say the only real choice is to choose Brock Lesnar. Seth coms out and stands face to face with Lesnar and starts attacking him. Brock hits him with 6 F5’s anf lays Rollins out. The show closes with after Brock hits the 6th F5. While it was not spoken, Seth has chosen to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 35.

Kurt Angle returns to Raw

Kurt Angle had a match against Baron Corbin tonight. Angle says if it wasn’t for Crobin, he’d still be Raw GM. Regardless of match quality or anything else, it’s great to see Kurt Angle in the ring in 2019 and doing what he does best 20 years later. Corbin pinned Angle clean with a deep six and hit the end of days after the match. It was awesome to see Angle these past couple days!

Jeff Jarrett & Road Dogg interrupt Elias

After eliminating double J last night, Jeff Jarrett and Road Dogg confronted Elias. Road Dogg said Elias needs to play with himself on his own time. The two start their patent duet until Elias hit Road Dogg with his guitar. Elias is heel again as well as a little nostalgia for the older fans. Great segment!

Ronda Rousey’s Open Challenge

The crowd kept chanting for Becky Lynch during Ronda’s promo. It’s obvious at this point the fans want Becky vs Ronda at Wrestlemania. Bayley then comes out and accepts Ronda’s open challenge. This is another match given a lot of time. Bayley had some good moments but ultimately tapped out to Rousey’s arm bar.

Becky Lynch’s music hits to a huge pop. She’s here to confront Rousey. Lynch wastes no time and announces that she’ll challenge Ronda Rousey in the main event of Wrestlemania 35. Ronda cut a really good promo and walked away. This match is going to be crazy, I cannot wait.

Overall, a good and entertaining episode of the Raw after the Royal Rumble. New feuds have begun as well as having entertaining segments throughout the night. Both Royal Rumble winners have chosen their champions and we’re officially on the road to Wrestlemania!
